Black Widow Movie

IDK, Tim Roth is like 5'7" - that seems a bit short for Taskmaster (or a stormtrooper for that matter). :lol I was thinking TM might be a creation of Aleksander Lukin, who in the comics was in charge of the KGB weapons & technology program that created/ran the Winter Soldier. Since the MCU changed things up to have Hydra creating the WS, maybe they'll mix things up again regarding TM's origins & do a modern take on Lukin. Of course there's nothing in the trailers to indicate there's any chance of this being the case. :lol

Yeah TM will be totally different here than in the funny books.

By this point the MCU is so far away from their comic origins and plots that it might as well exist in another multiverse lol

Re: Black Widow Movie

Disney was the one behind it though. Universal is in charage of solo Hulk and they get profit. Disney just didn't want to cut profit with Fox and Uni

TIH is still a MCU movie even though it's a vastly different Hulk

But Disney didn't own Marvel until a year later. I know X-Men 3 wasn't well received but the first 2 were great. First Class and future past were great. Wolverine Hulk would be Epic. Some of my favorite battles. HulkWolverinePosterRemasterSM.jpgHero-Envy-HulkvsWolverine2.jpgso far.jpg

Re: Black Widow Movie

Hmm I don?t see that retcon a sacrifice was still made, no?

If that plays out though then this would certainly be the first intro into the multiverse.

Doesn?t it have to be a sacrifice of someone you love though? I don?t think Thanos could?ve just thrown some woman wearing a Gamora mask off the cliff.

Well
Gamora is not BW.

If it was a fake BW Clint would not have known that therefore he would still have the love for her which would make her death meet the criteria to release the stone.

Re: Black Widow Movie

If the switcheroo spoiler stuff happens in this movie then I don't see myself accepting it into the "IS canon." Which wouldn't be a big deal since the IS is fine as is. :)

Doing that to Black Widow and the Infinity Saga would be like making Luke's journey and Anakin's redemption meaningless by resurrecting Palpatine and the Empire. Not that the characters are equal, but it accomplishes the same effect. BW's sacrifice was significant to the story.
So it wouldn't shock me to hear that the idiots at Disney would think it's a good idea to screw up another franchise.
But of all the characters to resurrect, Tony Stark is the breadwinner of the whole franchise so that would be the character you'd want to bring back.

I don't see telling a prequel story to a dead character as a bad thing, if they're smart they'll unveil something new about the character we didn't know that will add depth without screwing up the rest of the story (which is what the spoiler would do) but I doubt the writers & producers are that smart.

Re: Black Widow Movie

They will and with people like Victoria Alonso in charge they'll royally screw it up.

Why do you say that? I'm not at all familiar with her, but per IMDb she's been a producer or exec producer on pretty much EVERY MCU film, starting with Iron Man in 2008. If that constitutes screwing up, I say bring it. :lol

Re: Black Widow Movie

With Bond, Quiet Place 2 and now FF9 releases being pushed up or cancelled indefinitely (like QP2) i?m surprised the same hasn?t happened to Mulan and BW especially Mulan.

She said the X-Men should be retitled X-People because there's women amongst them. Yeah, I don't want her touching anything X-Men related.

So here is the thing I don't get with that logic. The term Men and Man are in both genders (WoMen and WoMan). We are all Mankind.

It comes from old German, originally it was Werman for boys and Wifman for the girls. Wifman is the origin for wife btw. That's why Mankind, Human, and Man/Men refers to both genders. It's only an issue for someone that needs something to complain about because fundamentally they're very unhappy people.

A bit of an overreaction, don't you think? Just because she said that doesn't mean she has any ability to make it happen. Besides, she could hardly make the X-Men franchise any more dependent on the female members than it's been so far, what with the prominent roles that Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix, Storm, Rogue, Mystique and Kitty Pryde have played in the previous films. If she wasn't a valuable contributor to the MCU, I doubt that Feige would have kept her involved in all those properties the past twelve years.

Bring on the X-It or X-Them :yess:

By the way word on the street is that Marvel has got the Hulk solo license back from Universal.

She's an executive producer and does have the power to change the name, especially if she said it publicly which was done to advance this nonsense issue with like minded idiots. It's troubling that such a idiotic nonfan would be in a powerful position that she could corrupt something she didn't create or really care about. Fans need to speak up when something like this is said to ensure that people in control don't mishandle the stories and characters we care about.
