Saw it last night at the theater no more social distancing with seats being blocked I had a fatty 30ish guy next to me sneezing non stop :yess:
😂
. BW is now officially the most rubberized character in the MCU if not in the history of cinema.
2. I can’t believe that I wasn’t spoiled on the reveal considering the production time AND the 14 month delay.
Nice, can't wait for Mr Fantastic. 😬
Oh one more thing before the movie started I was out in the lobby and there were these two kids next to me and one said to the other “do you remember when movies used to be good like when the first Purge movie came out”
It's worse than I thought. 😱

Yup, to them 80s movies are ancient and irrelevant. 😔

Might break 100 million opening even with D+ release.

Getting close.
Of course..because people are still going to pay to see it in person but I doubt majority won’t be satisfied when they leave the theater after it’s over

93% audience RT score :rotfl
I think more people are in love with the fact that we have a MCU movie after the Pandemic era to watch in the theaters again rather than liking the film itself . Mostly the new YouTube reviews I’ve seen pop up today are people saying “ I love it..want to see it again “

I’m pretty sure they really mean..I want to witness the experience again :lol

I’m curious..how many people on this forum are actually going to see this in the theater this weekend

Why though? :lol
I believe a positive score on RT is 3.5+/5.
The MCU will likely need its Last Jedi equivalent before it will start losing its audience. BW has a score of 7.3/10 on IMDb (which I trust more than RT) so it likely isn't being perceived as terrible in general and is above movies like IM2, Thor 2 and Captain Marvel - none of which made the MCU lose momentum. It doesn't sounds like BW is anywhere near as devisive as the Last Jedi. I suspect interest in the MCU will slowly taper off. I doubt they'll ever exceed the critical and box office pinnacle that Infinity War and Endgame did.

Feige knows how to get it done. Serve the hero. He has seen the early Marvel movies and realized what not to do. Then while delivering, seen DC/Fox/Sony try to do it their way and crumbled. I don't think we will see ST bad with Marvel, but there is plenty of characters I could care less about.

MCU will get it big if they nail F4 and X-Men. Those are the 2 properties people are dying for right now. Right now seems like the B team introductions while catering to the SJW crowd. Just keep that out of the cool stuff like Moon Knight/Blade/F4/Dr. Strange.

I just finished it, and I liked it. It's not perfect, but the characters brought it through IMO. I loved Yelena's and Natasha's interactions and that "family" dynamic between them two, Melena and Red Guardian.

Someone brought up that Red Guardian was wasted:
Judging how competent he was at the start of the movie, I think he was broken sometime between that time until his prison escape. The guy infiltrated SHIELD/Hydra for 3 years, he can't be that dumb. Would love to see more of his story.

How Natasha eventually beat the Red Room guy was pretty in-line for the MCU Black Widow we knew so far. Pretending to be on the losing side, feeding her opponent's ego to get what she wants. That's pretty much what she did in Avengers 1 on that general and on Loki.

Good to finally learn what happened in Budapest. Would have loved to see more of it though. So the "red" in her ledger that is weighing her down is now retconned to be her murdering a child to prove her loyalty to SHIELD.

I did not enjoy the big set pieces as much though. Would have loved to see this as a more grounded hand-to-hand fight or at the most some gunplay. The whole skydive thing was a bit unbelievable.

The post credits scene was unexpected. I wonder if this was shot after TFWS? Or was she planned here all along? It's a good tie-in for the Hawkeye series. I guess Yelena might be the antagonist there?

Overall I'd give it a 7.5-8/10. I enjoyed it a lot and wouldn't mind watching it again.

I'm beginning to realize that most of the people that don't like the phase 4 of the MCU seem to lean politically to the right. I guess since I am not American, I do not see the "agenda" as much as some people here. I tend to enjoy the films as is (entertainment).

You know after watching this video..I tell myself why couldn’t the actual film be as great as the cast made it seem in this video :lecture
