Got to feel for her - only $20 million upfront.Exclusive: Scarlett Johansson's Desired Payday For Black Widow Revealed

I have to assume that her and her attorneys are speculating high in the interest of maximizing any payout from the lawsuit. Whether she believes it would've made a billion or not, why would she not target that neighborhood during the lawsuit process? Yeah, 20 million up front is good but this was her one shot at leading a solo film so whatever was negotiated is what she should've been paid. Seems Disney could've adjusted the deal before release to account for D+... Again, multi-millionaire versus multi-billion dollar company, so hard to really care a lotIf you read the article, she & her team claims that Black Widow would've made in excess of $1billion if it was a theater only release. And she wants to be compensated based on that amount. That's just outright delusional.
Disney is in the wrong in this situation, but now she just sounds like an arrogant tool thinking her movie would've broken a billion. Maybe, just maybe if this was released pre-pandemic and still riding on the Endgame hype would it have broken $1 billion. Spidey FFH made just over $1 billion. Black Widow is NOT Spider-Man.
I haven't seen it, but it never really looked all that interesting or good to me from day one. Still waiting for it to be free on D+. I can wait as long as they'd like.
Yeah, of course. But this is a different type of case. When it's a high profile entertainer, she's not winning any new fans by coming across as arrogant and acting like an "entitled" rich white women. This isn't a business suing a business. She herself is her brand and needs people to be on her side. Now she's just coming off looking greedy and arrogant.Rule # 1 of any negotiation start really HIGH or Start really TOUGH then relax your stance as negotiations move forward.
I guess people didn’t read any of Trump’s books on business it is his core method of operation.

This lawsuit is about Disney doing what's right in compensating her by what her original contract stated. This is a precedent for the entertainment industry to stop screwing over the talent. What ever her backend contractual payout deal was % wise to box office gross, that's all she should be pursuing in compensation. To be entitled to that same percent of D+ sales, not imaginary "what if" BO numbers. That is where she comes off as no longer fighting for promised compensation, but being a greedy rich person looking for more money than she is actually entitled to. A jury/the public would most likely side with her for compensation she is due, but asking for a percentage of money never even realized is just being an *******. She now looks no better than Disney.
It's now greedy entertainment mogul vs greedy entertainer.
There is none of what you seek you will find only a lame BW program and a lawsuit that has more stakes than the actual movie.Yeah, but if the greedy entertainment mogul hadn't fronted the movie in the first place, there wouldn't even be a discussion. Anyway I still haven't watched this. Was gonna cough up the 30$ but then - nah.
Am sure it's fine. Am not spoiled yet either. Or is that possible? Nat fights people and then goes to find Cap I guess.
But it's not the Hawkeye/Bucky/Fury Natasha-gets-shot-and-converted movie I wanted, still feels like something done *because*. I'd have been throwing money at a prequel. And I usually hate prequels.
