There is no item worth chasing an armed man for........this is rule #1 taught in every major corporation from coast to coast....

It's unfortunate , but his sense of moral outrage got him killed. It happens a lot.

Take a few moments to reflect on this tragedy, and remember this if you are robbed in the future.

The only reason to fight an armed person is if you or someone else is in imminent danger of death.

Well to be fair the owner didn't know he was going to die. I find it very irritating when people get upset over a thief being harmed or killed in the process of theft. Don't steal and problem solved, the victim shouldn't have to stand the loss or risk their own safety over concern of the well being of a crook.

I'm not remotely promoting the safety of the thief. However, it's a shame he died over a handful of comics and I happen to be a comic collector myself. It's not worth the chase and especially not worth dying over.

So much irony in this story.

I wouldn't be surprised if the robber was someone who based on GZ's story, wanted something in there that he refused to sell. And it was only $20 worth? Sure a person has a right to protect their property, but a mere $20 worth of comics? Take down the guy's license plate, simply call the police and report the robbery, and mention that he's armed. Although I don't think $20 worth of stolen comic books would be a high priority for them.

Unfortunate, but ironic based on GZ's story and senseless at the same time. Rest peacefully though.

I see a lot of bad photos of this forum all day long, so photos of the product don't really bother me. I see some pretty crap photos of people's $600 custom figures, so it can happen to anyone.

If I'm dropping $900 on a set of toys, I don't really care if the headsculpts aren't as crisp as the prototype. I'm already a pretty big fan of the property, I don't really care how good it looks. I'm spending that much money because I'm a huge fan, not because I'm a collector of high-end action figures.
