Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Given that we are almost at the end of June the delay isn't that bad!

Ray Manzarek commission, 1:4 Godfather and Blitzway Ghostbusters I think I best buy another cabinet before august :rotfl

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Think people need to get over delayed figures. I would prefer the figure to be delayed if it means the quality of the product is going to be good rather the released a substandard figure because some fan boys got their knickers in a twist over not meeting a release date on time.

Yeah, the figures will ship eventually, but whatever ships is what you get. That is, waiting to get them will end, but owning them will last for as long as you decide to keep them. It only makes sense to want the best shipped product. Although, based on what's already been said, I'd guess that production has wrapped or is close to wrapping and something else is delaying them, which is fine. I'm just eager to see the final product.

I've never understood collectors cancelling an order because the wait was too long. I suppose you can lose interest, but if it's something you were willing to cancel, then you probably didn't want it enough that you should have bothered ordering it in the first place. To each their own.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

don't care when they release. As long as they aren't cancelled :lol

Pretty much my sentiments as well.

If the figure isn't cancelled, then I don't cancel. I'll get it when I get it.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Well, that confirms it! I wonder if Timewalker will be charging this week now.

They shouldn't bill this week. That doesn't mean they won't. I'm hoping they push it back to whatever the delay is. It'll still be paid 6 weeks before they ship. Anyone know how long the delay is?

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Sounds like 30-45 days right now.

So, sounds like we won't get these until early September, which is what I always expected. Yeah, then Steve really shouldn't bill us for another 30-45 days.

Yep, I can see a delay leading to a cancellation if the figure is from some flash in the pan movie and between release of the movie...realizing that it was bad...or liking it and then having the novelty wear off while you wait for the delayed figure prompting you to cancel...Ghostbusters, however, has been around since 1984...so you probably have liked it for 33 years or more likely your entire life...what could possibly happen between January and June of 2017 to make one decide that the high end figures of these characters that they wanted so much that they are enraged about delays are suddenly no longer desired...everyone's different though...

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

Got an email from Timewalker that they aren't billing as planned now.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

It's all good, I'm not in any hurry to part with my money.

Glad to hear it. Not likely but these could be delayed even after this. So I'd rather hold on to my money until it's definite.

The only thing I'm worried about actually is M8 potentially teases even better ones and then I'll have to sell these off and then wait again for those. :lol

There's no way that Blitzway, Soldier Story AND Molecule8 all share the 1/6 license.

If anything comes of that, it'd be prop replicas or 1/4 statues, but it's definitely not 1/6 posable figures.

Ha ha you would not be tempted to sell based upon M8s tease though because chances are all they would reveal is the toe of one of Winston's boots and the back of Ray's head before the figures shipped!

M8 were asked if their figures were going to be 1/4 to differentiate them from Blitzway and I recall them confirming that their figures were definitely going to be 1/6...strange...but that is what they said...

M8 says a lot of things.

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

I got the email from Timewalker as well. He stated that the final payment won't be due until the figures on on the boat. He did mention you can make final payment if you want too. No worries! Looks like I may receive these by my birthday. That would be a nice surprise gift. Lol

Re: Blitzway - 1/6 Scale Ghostbusters - Collectible Figures and ECTO-1

To be fair, Hot Toys has a lot on their plate. It's not like they haven't released anything since the WW preorder. They've released way more than 4 figures since then. Add the fact that WW features a newly developed seamless body, the delay isn't suprising. Still sucks though :dunno
It's not an apples and oranges comparison, of course, because Blitzway doesn't have nearly the level of infrastructure and experience that Hot Toys does. But the Hot Toys example is useful in demonstrating that even the most well established player in the 1/6 market doesn't often get things out in a timely, predictable manner. I believe that Yoda was a recent example that was delayed for several months, and Ripley has become a running gag in that thread.

You're going to need to source me on that.

As of May 5, they wouldn't confirm one way of another.

Any info as to whether this is 1/6th scale or 1/4th scale? I'm already pretty happy with what Blitzway is doing; how will Molecule8's figures differ from those?
[quote="M8 Admin" ]
Hi

We do not want to spoil the surprise regarding the scale just yet ;)
Molecule8's will be different in a way that you will know its Molecul8, go by the standard of how the John Lennon scupt looks.

If it was 1/6, they'd say so, to keep people from buying Blitzway's OR Soldier Story's stuff.

My assumption is that they know everyone wants 1/6, and if they come out and say 1/4 right now, their current audience will lose interest.
