I am glad they don't it so much fun watching cancellations and re buys.....
Or the lamenting later because they missed it....which is rare these days the amount produced.

I think these figures will easily win figures of the year.....

Which will be a nice change from Howard and HT always besting the 1:6 world.

Is there actually any semi official award of best 1/6 figure of the year ? Or does someone just set up a thread here and people vote ?

On a semi related topic, I finally took the plunge today, and bought a 1:1 scale proton pack with lights, and sounds from a guy on ebay. I've been wanting one ever since I was a kid. In my adult years, I've looked at them on ebay every so often never quite feeling like I could justify pulling the trigger. I always hoped some company would mass produce them, and while Anovos does have their kid coming out, I had concerns as to whether or not I could pull it off. Especially when it comes to the electronics. In a sense it is a bit disappointing as I think it would have been something to be really proud of if I did build it myself, but in the end I think there probably would have been too many imperfections on my end for me to ever be completely satisfied with it. I think I'll be better off with one from someone who knows what they're doing. Can't wait to get it. My inner 8 year old self is going to freak out when it arrives.

I'm still waiting for Anovos to get off their dead ***** and release a proton pack. Seems of good quality for the right price.

These are something I've looked at now and again also. Not lately though. Like you, I just couldn't justify spending the money on it, without it really having no purpose.

Perhaps one day I will, but I'm still abstaining at the moment.

I've kept my eye on it, but their inability to provide details about what the kit actually is makes me apprehensive. It seems like they don't even know what the final product will look like.

How much assembly is required? Do I need to solder parts together? Am I going to get raw castings of parts that I need to trim, paint, finish and assemble? Their FAQ is woefully inadequate.

I just need to see the contents of the box that I will be receiving. Posting a picture of a finished kit, when you're selling an unfinished kit is lame.

Agreed. They seem like EFX lite with their Star Wars products. From what I've seen the helmets and armor sets are pretty good but for all the reasons you said it makes the pack a wildcard. I would love to see how much of the pack is mould vs metal. I enjoy tinker projects so the assembly doesn't bother me too much if it saves dollars on getting quality materials to put together. If they do execute on it I'm sure it will sell out quickly given the general prices for a decent pack is around $1,000+ from what I have seen.
