I accidentally ran into a set of these when I was catching up my HT Iron Man MK VI. The price I was offered is great and they are in perfect condition without any flaws. Figured spending less money for a perfect - yet displayed - set might be the better option with all these quality check issues... summed up I agreed on the offer and we will work out the details after his vacation. Looking forward to adding the set to my collection soon. They look great in person - even better than on the pictures posted here. :)

Sometimes buying pre-owned is indeed better than brand new. It’s a bit cheaper, and you usually are already informed beforehand if there are any issues with the figure(s), if any, so you already know what to expect.

Plus I think the majority of people on here know the value of these and generally keep them in good shape and condition.

I don't mind buying preowned collectibles. However in that case I prefer local pickup if possible. This way I can check how they handle their collection. The guy I am buying from lives roughly 45 minutes away from me and is a pretty nice dude, so everything is great this time. :)
On the other hand, I've bought a Solo/Chewbaca 2-pack and it smelled like an ashtray. Disgusting.

SilverStar17 - I only bought one complete set, but have picked up a lot of bits and pieces from ToyAnxiety, Monkey Depot, etc., so I do have extra heads for all four of them. Those are the ones I typically use for ‘civilian’ shots. The heads don’t fit perfectly on non-Blitzway bodies, so sometimes they’re secured with blu tack if I’m using a generic body. I have a few extra uniforms and gear for pictures like the ‘Franchising’ one, as well.

Since 1984 – Thank you very much!

Ah ok, that’s cool.

I don’t recall who it was, but someone a few pages back posted pictures of a display they did where they had them dressed up the way they were in their first commercial, holding all the same gadgets. That’s probably my favorite variant display. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be able to include Winston being that he wasn’t introduced in the film yet. Though to include him in that particular display, I’d probably dress him up in the outfit that he was in when he went for his interview, holding the file with his resume.

Page 898, to be precise.

Other than the giant size scale of this figure, I'm very impressed with the outfit, the gear, and the absolutely amazing proton pack. All those tiny labels are sick. It even has a near microscopic "Made in UK" under the handle that I only noticed in a photo.

Fresh from the box...

This figure's hands look almost 1/5th scale.... at least 1/ 5.5 :lol

Nice! :clap

And yeah, these things are huge. I realized that recently after moving them to another location and seeing them next to other figures. Highly detailed accessories though, as you mentioned. As good as these packs are though, I thought SS’s were just a bit more accurate by having even more screen accurate labels that the BW ones don’t have, and also the foam padding on that bar of the frame that rests on the upper back. Better choice of material for the hoses it looked like, as well as having some die-cast components.

Those packs on these figures would have been killer. These packs are still more than suitable though.

And nice job on moving the keychains on the belt (the larger one at least) to the correct side. Surprisingly, I seem to be the only one who’s done that (out of those that have posted pics at least). Same with removing Winston’s keychains altogether (since he didn’t have any on his belt) and looping his catheter hose through that little handle thingy on the waist of the suit.

Thanks!

I'm way behind, but did people actually swap bodies to get them down to more true HT 1/6th scale?

As it is, Venkman looks to be about 6'5" on my shelf. He'd be a challenge to Vader.

Also, I can't take credit for the key chain move -- it came that way from the ebay seller. But I'm glad to know its correct now. I got a lot of gear to put on him obviously. Have to consider if I'm going to do any touch-up paintwork on his face or not. He's a bit ... like a mannequin. I like the ones I saw where people added just a touch of redness on his cheeks an nose. Not drunk; healthy. :)

Anyway, I'm in now.... my hunt begins for the next GB.... Ray.

Yep. Those keychains are on the right side for Venkman, Ray and Egon:

As far as the bodies go, I’m not sure. I recall davejames swapped out his Venkman body for another body, but I think he was forced to because the arm of the stock body on his broke.

Thanks!

Glad to see you took the plunge....you wont regret this set.

The scale is off, but it almost doesn’t matter as when displayed with all of them they scale perfectly. Now if your planning on posing Venkman with Vader I got nothing for ya...
;)

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

They can do literally anything now with CGI- before long we can have new Ghostbusters films with the original younger actors.......it is coming

I am convinced that they are going to remake ANH with CG actors.

These are amazing figures in every way. These will be sought-after highly in the future- I don't see BW making them again
