Statue Blitzway- Bruce Lee 40th Anniversary Tribute Statue (1/3 Scale)

After seeing the above pics, I'm glad I ordered from BBTS. They packed the Blitzway brown shipper inside another box with bubble padding on every side, even the shipper I got is mint. I had a chance to unpack this statue last night and it looks beautiful!

To each their own, but in the case of this collectible, I'm lost as to why you would drop over $600 and want to start cutting the head off, "fixing" the eyes and modding it to death. Maybe I'm just being easy to please on this statue, but I don't see anything wrong with it IMO.

Oh and yeah, that secont box from BBTS is in fact the nameplate. They packed the hell out of this box, bubble wrap, a slotted cardboard insert with a ton of space around the actual nameplate, there is no way this was going to get damaged. Kudos to Blitzway, or BBTS, who ever packed, or co-packed the order.

So finally had some time to open this thing today.....holly shhhh....this thing is on another level of quality! There is NOTHING in my collection anywhere near this level of detail and quality. I am honestly blown away by this piece in every sense. How they managed to make this for only $600 is beyond me. I honestly can't stop looking at it, I'm at a loss for words guys.

Small little issue though, the tip of his finger I found broken off inside the box when I opened it . Already emailed secret compass to see if they have replacements. The finger that broke is the one that puts pressure on the nunchuck to hold it in place. So unfortunately I only have one display option right now. Didn't have time to make a video review today, but I did take some cool pics. Video review to come tomorrow hopefully.

Don't know what to say, cause usually an item is sold out, it will show that it is sold out, but when you type on their search Blitzway, nothing shows up?!

That doesn't surprized me BBTS always goes out of it's way to give u the best box possible that's why they have grades on their boxes. So I am not surprized they even wanted the shipper box to be packed like that.

Yeah for $600 I would want to cut off the head either but if I got a free one I would break the head and get it repainted and get the eyes fixed. The expression looks so life-less IMO.

The finger next to the thumb on that arm snapped off on mine when the arm fell off. Popcultcha have asked me to return the statue, and I should get a replacement.

great pics,really bad news on the finger break..regarding the''modding'' yes paying a large amount and then doing this and that to it may seem a bit extreme,but
if it can make an improvement,and you have the skills then I see no issue (andy and rory are great examples)this will be my most expensive BL item.and I too
hope to do some alterations.here in the UK young lads spend a few £100 on a car,then spend 4-5 times that modding it.but it's their £s so it's their choice.

So u are really going through this?

The only reason I don't want to mod this other than the price is because it will destroy the value, and I am guessing this will be worth quite a bit as time goes by. Not that I am buying this because it is an investment but sometimes u need to sell things u really love, when u need the money.

I'm chatting with sis-in-law about this for her opinion first.but yeah the thought is there.also mummy-in-law is a great craft making person and she could possibly make some ''fake'' transfer eyes to place over the original.it's all WIP.
sounds strange I know,but this may be my last BL collectible so I want it how I imagined it if you follow.
it's not set in stone....haven't got the statue yet!!

No I totally understand Chris, I mean I am tempted to do the same thing but so far I don't know people locally like u do that can change the look of this statue and I am not breaking off the head to send it way to the US for it get repainted by a pro on these boards. I don't plan on selling it either but sometimes things come up that force u to part with your most prize possessions. So this will really be your last Bruce Lee collectable? I guess it makes sense then that u want it as perfect as possible.

I think the pricing will continue to force some of us out of the collecting game.and yes I wanted a be all end all BL.no doubt a stunning BL will turn up and if I'm in the £s for one who knows,i suppose I could just collect 1/4 and above and sell my 1/6 bruces,but we shall see.looking at one of the vids for this,the neck seems a bit loose,so wouldn't take much to remove (as was the HD1001/1002 torso.)and reglue,but yeah,if the mod aint easy better stay clear.
this really is a very very good BL,it just lacks the oomph I wanted.but that's just me.

Yeah after a I saw that video a few weeks ago so I went to check mine out (expecting it to be the same) but on mine it is not like that it is totally sealed at the back u can't lift it at all. Maybe mine is a one off.

I never thought of that, it could be a QC issue. All I know is I can't move my neck back and forth like rrjrstatueman can on his, not even a little bit.
