I've Photoshopped the one on the left by sharpening and adjusting the light level contrast.
But it's really a cheats way of doing things, it brings out more detail but it is also making it look better than it actually is.
With proper lighting the sculpt will probably lay somewhere in-between these two.

The proto had incredible detail on the lat muscles, forearms and abs which is just not there on the finished version or at least to a much lesser degree.
There has somehow been a real loss of detail during the production of this. Not so worried about the paint apps because you can fix that if you really want but if the detail is soft in the sculpt there is not much you can do.

Yeah the nipples have shrunk, it is because the paint circles are much smaller for some reason.
The hair also seems to have shrunk. Should be longer at the back too - it seemed to be on the proto.
One of the signatures of ETD was Bruce's 'big hair'. It's affecting the overall look for me a bit.

But definitely the biggest let down is the torso detail softness and paint apps. It really does look like a different statue to what we have been seeing all these months.
I was ready to drop a 1000 Australian on this but not anymore, unless pics surface that change my mind!

What I think has changed for the better is the core facial likeness. The proto felt almost like a Bruce impersonator. The finished piece is really pretty close.
If the body had come out with the same detail in the torso as the proto it would have been a superb statue and the definitive Bruce collectible without question for me, but right now, with the current pics we have it feels like a mass produced and much less expensive figure. I really hope I see some images come in that change my mind.

Wow, what a disappointment this has turned out to be. After having lost interest in this hobby for months now, seeing that this was close to being released kind of sparked my interest again as it was the only piece I was looking forward to at the moment, but these pics have killed any excitement I had for this release.

It honestly looks like a $150 PVC figure. Looks no different to me to the Enterbay statues released, except larger. I just don't understand how it turned out so different from their amazing proto, which had me pumped for this statue for months.

I'm still holding out in hopes that some better pics might surface, but I'm not holding my breath. As it stands, I think I'm going to cancel my order, and put my cash towards the GOD statue, which looks much better IMO.

I'm so glad that I have the GOD statue. I think Blitzway have really dropped the ball on this one. I would have preferred this piece to be delayed to produce a better finished product.

Taken from description of the statue by Blitzway:

We have created the highest quality Polystone to craft a vivid and lifelike depiction of Bruce Lee’s famous body. Every scar, pore and bead of sweat will spring to hyper-realistic life by the talents of our highly skilled artisans

I can't really tell from the photos so far...

Tried to send you a PM but its full.
I'm in Melbourne and don't have room for 2 1/3 scale Bruce statues.
Let me know if you are interested in the GoD statue !

Cleared my inbox bro. So you're going to get rid of your GoD statue and get the ETD statue?

I moved to a townhouse from a much larger house and most of the collection went.
I kept Temple of Doom Indy PF, Blitzway GoD Bruce, Arnie Conan PF ...displayed in that order. Can't really justify the space of 2 1/3 scale Bruce's :)

I hope it is the lighting. Otherwise I'm just going to lose my NRD. If this was a $300 statue, then it is forgivable but not when it is $700.

I'm still thinking this is pics/lighting, note the shoulder definition and the deep muscular grooves in the forearms on the last pic compared to the proto- the arm sculpts look identical

Yeah I understand what you're saying, that sort of harsh overhead lighting will make what detail is there pop out but overall it feels soft to me (with the current photos). This pic for example is very close up and you would expect to see fine detail whatever the lighting conditions, within reason. But it looks fairly smoothed off. It just doesn't suggest that beautifully defined and ripped sculpt of the proto has been reproduced.

Sculpt is the easiest thing to replicate on any statue, would be senseless for them to change it. I'm gonna bet on the lighting- looking at the first and third pic in my last post you can kind of see where the muscular def was washed out. Could be wrong but I think their is still reason to be positive.

Seems like they have changed the sculpt though, if subtly, the head tilt seems slightly different (could be photo angles though, but seems a bit off all the same). The hair has changed also, in shape and length. Not sure why, it looked much better on the proto. While making a bit of a difference, I still can't see multiple lighting conditions coming close to filling in the amazing detail the proto torso had...
But look mate, I really hope you are right.

Can you tell that there is sweat on the body? It's really subtle.

seems more noticeable on RobertoBagg10's pics on page 45 then on the last group

could be, never know :lol i guess we're just stuck guessing and waiting till either better pics show or its sitting right in front of us- sucks

but on the bright side, no amount of light manipulation could make those arms look so alike if the same detail wasn't there in the sculpt. Just have to wait for some pic masters to bring it out of the rest of him... hopefully :lol

or it may just be a case of pictures never doing the inhand statue justice... hopefully :lol

Yeah I don't think the torso/arms have been physically changed in any way from the proto sculpt, although the head seems to have been reworked.
I think it's just the super detail in the musculature and veining has softened and been lost in the casting process which is really unfortunate.
Perhaps the GOD statue came out so close to the proto because you didn't have all this exposed flesh, it was mainly clothing.

But yeah, it would be great to see some really well lit and professional looking shots to really help with the decision on this one.
So far I don't have a lot of confidence in it changing enough to drop the cash on it.

Cancelled my order from BBTS. Don't got time to mess around with sketchy products with all the releases coming from XM & SS coming in the next 2 months.

i'll take the £250 one on the left:lol.is this seriously worth a $100 more than GOD.proto quality yes..but at the moment due to the pics.big no no.notice the slight differences with the release v proto.not just the definition.hans claw must have got wider going by those ab cuts.and does bruce's face look bigger/wider and not as defind?.bad lighting I hope.had this been the proto,i'd have said pretty nice statue.but side by side thus far,my oomph for this went down.
