Damn!!! and I was hoping for so much more sad to say but I'm also very close to cancelling myself...as others have already mentioned, the lack of definition is worrying...lighting issue perhaps? Hmmmm...I'm not so sure but the other thing that kills it for me is that you can clearly see from the above pic that on the proto, the scratches on the chest and abs look authentic, the one on the production piece looks too clean cut, almost as if its been stuck on rather that hand painted I see a distinct change to the mouth also in the above comparison pic so disappointing...

The whole piece just lacks detail and shading

yeah andy.pink smooth bruce against tanned ripped bruce.you could even say they were different statues.even the left heel sits lower on the final version,amongst other changes.

I meant that overall the ''core'' likeness is better,although he looks a bit puffier.perhaps the lack of shading/tones on the sculpt like the proto is making you think otherwise larry.either way it's not the definitive brucey blitzway promised us.

I so wanted this to ''rock'' if I had to lay out the FULL £500 for this,then I would seriously think of cancelling.the finished item falls far short even allowing for mass production (what are we 500?)if they could do the GOD as good as the proto then as you said steve,has this been rushed.should this turn out with some decent sculpting and tones in the paintwork,it's a $400-$450 statue at best,whereas the proto would justify the asking price..jeez the EB HD1001/1002/1003/1008 cost me the same as this,and the paintwork on them are no worse.

So you don't have to lay out the RRP? How much you getting it for?

You should be used to that Andy, since you buy so many Sideshow statues and repaint them. You don't think you could buy this and just repaint it?

Well the shape of the head looks off but the inner features of the face (core likeness) look more accurate, but it is probably just lighting as the lighting was quite dark in the distance promo pics of the proto.

Yup, quite noticeable differences there between the two images I'm guessing that any alterations that Blitzway can do to make it better is way too late now right?

Yeah I was actually hoping they would take a step up and improve the paint quality compared to GOD. Not that GOD is a bad paint job it just does not have enough shading or blends of colors as EBs HD WOD figure sculpt.

cheers buddy.my case is ready and waiting andy had we not seen the proto this would be a nice addition but the differences are vast.even with better lighting I still see a one tone paintjob with only minimal muscle tone along the lines of the EB statues,as you said a step back from the GOD.YES STEVE..so my outlay is my deposit,so even though I'm bitterly disappointed with the finish on this,for the minimal cost I'm still getting him.
this is the type of finish I'm expecting on this statue now..but the cuts look better on this..

I would get him to if some bought this for me as a gift but I wouldn't spend my own money on it from what I have seen so far.

Oh BTW Chris do those scratches have different tones in them on that bust because they look like they do, unlike this statue?

That's what I figured, so it looks like it is painted better than the statue then, especially as far as the cuts are concerned.

Are we sure they are drawn on? Last I heard they were apparently decals?

looking at this,the hair seems much smaller,and the face looks bigger.and against the proto,looks very different.also is that the 1st sign of a neck seam on the right side just under the jaw?

Unfortunately yes.

It is a bit of a double edge sword with me, in one way I am disappointed in the product but in another way I am glad I am saying money.

looking at this,the hair seems much smaller,and the face looks bigger.and against the proto,looks very different.also is that the 1st sign of a neck seam on the right side just under the jaw?

Yeah face looks bulkier and longer. Can't see the neck seem, which side do you think it is on?
