It is hard to fathom some of these apparent changes. The big hair is such a signature of the ETD look and was good on the proto but just looks down sized and wrong on the production piece. This didn't need changing, the shape of the face didn't need changing. The proto was superb and a $1000 statue. This is something else unfortunately.

check on page 46.shows up a little better.right side under jaw.

Yeah I see it now but I must admit it wasn't noticeable.

I don't think they change this deliberately, I think they rushed this into production and because of that they didn't take the proper care needed when making sure the mold used for production would not get distorted when they were producing these sculpts out in the factory for mass production.

agree.the best pic to date for me is the out of the box shot, with some of the wrapping around his arm.but even that does not come close to the proto:mad:,and I cant see much better pics showing much more detail in the future....wifey even says ''hair isn't poofy enough''..cant argue with that:bow

Agreed some of this could be in rushed molds but if the likeness was reworked maybe the hair was too. Who knows?
At any rate the paint job and ripped musculature is so removed from the proto I just can't see myself getting this anymore. Really disappointing but, on the other hand, 1000 bucks saved.

and blitzways sales for this have dropped 75%:wink1:i think the likeness is fine but the facial features are lacking the structure and definition on the proto I can't even see the scar that bruce had. unless it's not showing on the current crop of pics.

Amazed by the difference between proto and final product. Blitzway should make a statement apologizing for such a ripoff.
Chance for Enterbay to make the best Bruce Lee statue.

unless you put bruce in an NBA kit...no chance:lol, blitzway reduce this to $400 shipped please..you may sell more then:wink1:
just to rub salt in the wounds, how great did this turn out compared to the proto.yet they failed with this statue...oh which happens to cost $100 more..blitzway what have you done:monkey2

nicely found pics andy.they do look good side by side(that's how I'm gonna pose them)yes shows more and improves it,although STILL NOT promo quality
it still looks one colour.but the sweat and ab cuts look better...so is he back on for you?

I think this is going to be a cancel for many..shame really,i thought blitzway were going to blow us away this time.
still need some clear shots of this as the lighting is off in the pics.looks great next to GOD,and the skintone is better, but its a distance shot
if someone does a side by side of the front shot, bad colour aside, the proto will still win hands down.
and I still think the seam is under the jawline..well done it is though.

have em both.they do display nice, but like you said it hasn't blown away the GOD like the proto would have I think.

I think it turned out pretty decent. As mentioned before, the god statue is mostly covered so it didnt have to do a lot in terms of paint application. With this one, it was never going to hit the heights of the proto skin tones being factory , mass produced but in these last shots, it looks decent enough. Add to that they have atleast added sweat which sideshow still has yet to discover. Il probably pick this up. Still looking forward to some decent close ups similar to the last shot here.

but is it $700 less shipping decent, that's an issue with this piece also.the GOD headsculpt has very good detail, this appears a bit flat, hopefully better pics may prove me wrong.

Space is at a premium .... I don't think 2, 1/3 scale Bruce's is possible for me :)
(not to mention the massive boxes and how much room they take ....)

Latest shots look a lot better, thanks for posting Andy! Still not quite good enough shots to make an accurate judgement on this, but I'm glad to see that the sweat detail is there at least, and the ab shot close-up looks somewhat realistic to me (the skin tone and sweat), even the cuts. I really need to see some high-res shots of the head.

For those who were saying that they got it so right with GoD statue and failed with this one, I think the fact that the majority of the body on GoD statue was covered by a jump suit helped a lot, since the majority of the complaints on the EtD statue seem to be paint related. Maybe if the GoD statue had a revealing body, we might have seen the same issues.

I am warming up to this statue now, but still need to see better, clearer pics to decide whether it's actually worth the money or not. I need some close-ups of that head sculpt as well. Right now, I can't decide which I like better.

Thats down to the individual. If the headsculpt is atleast on par with the 1st version, id definitely say yes. Iv only just got the god statue and its one of my fave pieces . From that last photo, this looks up there with it.

It's cool seeing the statues side by side. It's not proto quality but from a distance doesn't look too bad.

If the price was cheaper than the GOD then it would make more sense.

The GoD statue would have been way easier for them to make.
Not only does the suit mean they didn't have to paint the body, but it also meant that the statue didn't have to be one piece.
The arms are seperate pieces, held on my magnets and the head is a seperate piece glued into the body in quite an obvious join, nicely hidden by the suit.

I think they are both still decently priced in comparison to any other line around that scale! .....or Sidehow's 1/2 Legendary Scale line which is $2K+ !
