Yeah lightly tanned is the right phrase Steve.not as rich as the 1002..that redo looks much better..if only they hadn't sculpted those cuts could have made this near perfect.

Yeah the repaint blows the stock paint away, not just the sweat applications but the skin color looks so much better, unless that is the lighting making it look like the right color. :dunno The stock paint looks too yellow in the before pic.

I thought it was repainted as it does look darker, rather than a paler tan that it is and the cuts look better a lighter red,the runs add a lot also..it does kinda change colour in less lit conditions if that's the right phrase.stock isn't really yellow so that could be the light, even so it looks so much better.

Yeah I think it has been repainted to.

I mean yellowish, light tan is a yellowish/greenish color.

Been absent from this thread for a while, but thought I'd throw up some pics of the issues on my piece. The paint blob on the hand is really hard to photograph as I can't seem to focus on it or get in close enough without the image getting blurry.

Really not sure what to do with this. I really hate having OCD, but these issues really bother me, even if they aren't really noticeable on display. I guess just knowing they are there. Wanna know what you guys think. I'm planning on re-doing the sweat anyway, so I thought maybe disguise the paint blob on the hand with sweat. Given it's already flesh colour, shuld blend in well I think.

yeah can clearly see the blob at the bottom of his thumb.could be a patch where the paint didn't take to well? as youre redoing the sweat(looking forward to your pics) you could blend some by there to mask it.and the scratches on the base are a bit of a bummer also, but I doubt if yours is the only one like that mate, mine had one or two very faint ones, not as bad as your though.

One thing you could try is a small spot of car wax on that blemish and then rub it up to a sheen. It will lose that matt effect of the blob and should blend in better to the surrounding area which looks to have a slight sheen. Alternatively, if you plan on redoing the sweat, just adding fine droplets on that spot and the surrounding area on both arms/hands to create that finely beaded sweat look should also render that spot pretty invisible.

Yeah it just looks like some paint applied by brush or something. Its more or less noticeable depending on light and angle, probably also because it is slightly raised from the surface, but I think with some careful application of sweat it could be invisible. Just need to figure out a way to do this so it looks like its supposed to be there.

Yo, where you been man? Lol. You still keen on this statue?

Yeah I had thought about the wax to be honest, just wasn't sure what effect it would have on paint. I think the sweat might be the best option.

So frustrating. I really like this statue but Blitzway's terrible QC makes it hard to enjoy.

It does look bad in these close ups but Nuri, you can't just live with it and pose it so you can't see it? I mean after going through 3 statues, this one is the best one. At least it doesn't lean and correct me if I am wrong but isn't the Jawline better on this one than the first one :dunno

Well good luck with that man, hope you can achieve the look you want.

This is one of the reasons why I passed on this and probably also one of the reasons Arnie left Blitzway, at least with GOD not many people had QC problems.

agree I had no issues with GOD and it turned out very close to the proto(unlike this)the frustrating thing about this statue is looking at some of the repaints done, this could have been spectacular had more care/attention been given.best of luck in hiding that blemish xpl0sive the thing is once you know its there,it bugs you:(..and I wonder why arnie did leave?

In all honestly though Chris for the price and size you know the paint job would never look as good as the repaints. However, it should have looked as good color and sweat wise as the HD1002.

Well he did say he didn't like how the statue turned out, he probably doesn't like it when companies butcher his work like Enterbays did in the beginning. That being said, the sculpt on this is amazing and the only thing they messed up is the paint job and the sculpted battle scar cuts that are covered with horrible looking decals in the wrong areas on certain parts of the body.

I agree with you there steve, likeness is great as is most of the statue,it's the finish that lets it down, and I still cant understand they sculpted cuts, baffles me that does,a simple paint job for the cuts would have been better.

Yeah that's all they did for the HD1002 right, and most of them look roughly the same on each statue right? I still don't get why they sculpted the cuts either like keloid scars, maybe it was to prevent people from easily modding it, so they wouldn't look bad. :dunno

yeah every 1002 ive seen look the same and better placed, the highest cut on the ABS on this is too high and a cut between the lower 2 would have been near spot on.regarding modding the scars need to be sanded and the body redone.adding runs/drips to the cuts seem to be the general mod I've seen by most.

I know the spacing is inaccurate but compared all the other flaws, those are just nit picks IMO.

Yes I know, and maybe blitzway sculpted it that way to make it harder for people to mod it, because maybe they don't want people showing how much of a better job they can do than them. :dunno

here's what someone has done in the Italian collectors club. much better cuts and sweat..nice backdrop(similar to mine) repaint on the base, not overly keen on that as I thought about doing that but decided against it.but the mods hes done make this look much better.
Blitzway: ISS - Enter the Dragon - Bruce Lee Tribute Statue Ver. 2 - page 24 - Blitzway

It sure does, even though the body paint is sub par and too pale, the fact that the cuts and sweat is done better would make this an instant buy.
