I would totally be down for a Catherine Zeta Jones from this movie too. Because yowza. :D

Yes I'd want a 1/6 CZJ figure!! Head sculpt and body proportions need to be on point :D

Which look for Elena though, I mean besides the sword fight ^ in corset-undergarments night-dress scene.
It'd expect some actual attire;

Elena: as she is dressed in the market. ...dios mio this woman is beautiful!

Spanish Lady from the ball scene? This one should be packaged with Gentleman Alejandro
the-mask-of-zorro.jpg

The mining rescue scene?

There was also a unfortunately deleted riding and sword training scene where she wore her own bolero hat riding gear, dark dress

I'd take any one, although I doubt any are likely
I don't know how well the Zorro figure sold? Yet it appears to be sold out everywhere, so maybe?

I quite like the display stand, the thinner base (compared to HT's rectangular stands) is pleasing and the metal nameplate is a must.

The unmasked A.B. head is also good, I think the likeness is there.

The cape pattern is nice!

Brilliant, any suggestions for getting wrinkles out of the shirt.
Without removing it if possible? If not, with removing?

You could use water treatment.

Soak the shirt, then work it until it looks right, then allow to dry. You could speed up the process with a hairdryer but it risks blowing unwanted wrinkles and creases.

Because this figure uses a lot of plastic instead of pleather there's less risk with the water. i.e., you would otherwise have to remove pleather belts or straps.

Water treatment works really well. I have two of BBK's Jonah Hex figures, and the cape on his greatcoat was so large and awkward. But I managed to train it into draped folds using water.

Would anyone who has got both a Batman and Zorro figures at this scale, care to pose them side-by-side, essentially Batman with his great-granddaddy.
Maybe staged opposite, or back to back, with a Batarang and Grapnel, to counter the Sword and Whip?
Would love to see them together.

Neat idea!

Well, I only have my TDK Batman out atm, but I think it's so cool seeinn them side-by-side!

How awesome would it be if they met!

Snapped some pics! Overall I think this figure comes together nicely! Again, so happy to have Zorro!

Man, the masked/hatted head sculpt is just great, captures the characters' essence.

The masked sculpt really is very good. I love the cheeky smirk. 😏

When I pre-ordered him I knew it was going to be the only sculpt I'd use.

He truly is one the creations that gave us so much of what we know today, from superheroes to Indiana Jones!

It reminded me that in The Mark of Zorro (1920) Don Diego accessed his 'Zorro cave' through a grandfather clock just as Bruce Wayne did in some versions.

That's awesome!

As far as them "meeting", besides the origin flashbacks, they somewhat did in the Fam Chanel Zorro series; Adam West plays Dr. Henry Wayne, a supposed ancestor of Bruce Wayne, implication being he passes down the secrets to his more famous descendant

No doubt ....1920

1943
Straight adapted into the first Batman movie (which Kane was consultant on)

When I do eventually get a proper Batman figure I would (as per Zurdo above) stage him with Zorro, maybe find a 1:6 grandfather clock to stand between them.

Also for a more McCulley Pulp era to Disney version Zorro - perhaps "building" a Batman ^ analogues "armory" for Zorro. With opening wooden doors and racks holding his arsenal:
A variety of swords, throwing knives, daggers,
1Zt4oKp.gif

throwing knives, Bullwhip,
YlEyukB.gif

Lasso, Bolos, black-powder grenades & burning fuses, glycerin glass pellets, leather wrapped flash grenades and smoke bombs.
7LwNioG.gif

Saddlebag, medicine pouch and potions, spyglass, maps. A mini spring loaded grapnel-line launcher and flintlock Crossbow, bow-and-arrow yes McCulley and Disney had him use them
NuM3Kkm.gif

Zorro%20ArrowZ%20BW.gif
,

and of course his black powder pistolas (again as per McCulley, they were a regular part of his arsenal),

...and more.

Those are great, love the Disney(ish) Zorro and backdrop (using Triad and custom head?) , which Batman is that? Does he come in black and grey?

Thanks!

Guy Williams Zorro is a kit bash of Triad Zorro, a custom Zorro I picked up on ebay years ago, and a 3D printed Guy Williams head from Hot Serial Toys off of Shapeways. Printed in color and never felt the need to paint it!

Batman is the second Sideshow version. They made a noir version that was greyscaled, but I don't think they ever made this one in pure black/grey.

Zorro on a different display stand

Honestly before posting pics I need a good how-to shirt futzing vid. for this figure, cause sadly allot these no-neck picks being posted don't do the figure justice when it hysterically looks like his head was squashed down into his torso.
I wonder if pulling the head off the peg and just letting it sit a little higher would help some?

Others have shown here how great he can look when not just plunked straight out of the box.

Also not allot of pics of him on Tornado have emerged, that's another investment.

Don't know how to use or embed a facebook vid? But if you click it should go to the quickest no-nonsense un-boxing I've seen yet - Zorro Unboxing
And uses the wonderfully hokey yet joyful 1975 Zorro is Back theme! ...and he does end up on a horse! :wink1:

Pull his pants down, yank his shirt down tight and run electrical tape around it to hold it down. The shirt will keep tight to his shoulders.

No more wardrobe malfunctions!

I did that when he arrived, and he still looks like this:

I was quite disappointed with the figure when I opened it, due to the cheap nature of the materials - the belt, straps, boots, rubber sword guard, uncontrollable shirt.

After sorting the shirt I realised he was quite effective on display, regardless of the 'low end' qualities.

(let me know if these pics are opening. site?)
Mr. Z is now selling and showcasing their 1/6 black Arabian, posed with Zorro, they do look great together, although not the most dynamic pose, and he really needs all black tack and saddle.
He seems a bit closer to the Disney era Tornado in scale.
I think their 1/6 Shire Horse is closer to the scale and grooming of the Friesian (Andaluz) version of Tornado seen in Mask.

Anyone put him on a horse yet?

Oh man, I think I neeed to pick up a 1/6 black horse for Zorro, and maybe for Wonder Woman too :lol

To be honest all I did with my was wet the shirt and futzed with it until I was happy

I guess that ^ pic was you! Figure looks great, Nice montage review and theme music.

Seems a few of you had that same horse on hand, or just better planed ahead.

Yeah, Torando is essentially his Batmobile, almost as iconic as the character himself, yet (for me) it's that large step in crossing that expanding your collection space to the next level, once I get a horse, I'm afraid the vehicle flood gates will need to open. Although the one showcased above seems pretty compact.

.
.... and maybe for Wonder Woman too :lol
I was surprised on film they went with a black horse for her, as her #1 issue image riding a white horse into enemy lines was so iconic.

Yet there is just one thing missing, ^the spurs (yes it's a small detail, yet those make the difference), so why not complete it?

...further the spurs are seen throughout Legend (same costume), so if they are going for a one time; definitive/ultimate figure and costume, (and we know we won't get another one) why not just make the first one all complete, from the go.

More details...

While not everyone will pose him on a horse, some will and should have the option, he doesn't wear them throughout Mask \ film, yet they are in Mask's opening title sequence, and throughout Legend.

Also (while not the most accurate) count me as another who already added the Redman spurs, the first small step towards committing to a 1:6 horse...
