The tt slim ankles are double ball joints anyway, making even the normal ones move better than the ssc ankles did

these are just on a tt slim with normal length foot pegs, they can move more also as the SSC boot is kind a soft kind of plastic

Dude! Perfect! Many thanks for the response and pics!
TT FTW!

Now did you have to shave the forearms?

Also, how are the SS boots being modified to accept the HT ball hinge? Are the SS boots being drilled/cored to accept the HT ball socket?
Thx

No need to alter the boots. Just give them a little heat and you should be able to stick the ankle joints into the boots. Easy peasy. :yess:

I didn't shave mine, but it can be tough to get the gauntlet on without some tweezer magic (tweeze the sleeve under the gauntlet while sliding gauntlet on etc) so perhaps a quick shave down wouldn't hurt (don't take much off though) but unnecessary if you have patience at the gauntlet stage.

If its a tt slim with non tt slim arms (like red skull) it just flat out won't fit, and you'll have to shave those arms down. normal tt arms like on the new one HT sell on its own, or like luke's or jack sparrow's etc are the ones that are ok.

Also that body posted looks alright, is it an HT one? looks like a slim but didn't know they had 1 with a sculpted torso!

I'm finding this discussion very helpful. I have not attempted this yet. If i understand correctly, the hands and feet snap in with some warmth and pressure. But how do you then connect a ss head to the body?
Thanks

the ht neck joint connects to the ssc head easily, also ssc necks (at least those from the armour bodies such as clones/stormtroopers) can take the place of a ht neck if you have a neckless body. Haven't tried normal body ssc necks yet but they're probably the same, just not sure.

One thing to look out for is removing the ssc ankle pegs from the boots can be quite hard, so a lot of heat is needed and some pliers -

do NOT twist with the pliers or you will break the ssc ankle peg and leave it stranded in there with no way to remove haha!

Or use boil/pop, but double the time (i.e. put in boiling water the normal 3-4 mins, then reboil water and do it all over again another 3-4 mins.)

Mine came right out after that.

Thanks guys. You wouldn't happen to have any pics of the SS pegs from Boba would you? I thought they were just straight like the clone pegs, but what you're describing sounds more involved.
I just ordered the tt from SS, so I'm in.
Do the HT pegs go right in, or boiling required there too?
Thx

Bit of boiling always helps, but should be pretty easy. The SSC pegs are just standard ones (but the clones are armour bodies so are thinner I think), its just as the boot is a bit taller than the normal foot, its hard to get a good grip on it so its handy to use all the tricks available.

Due to the swivel joint that all ssc ankles are, if you were to twist it with pliers it would just snap (I tell everyone this because it happened to me haha, had to buy new feet eventually)

tried that, but that damaged the actual peg slot, as its just soft rubber that's such a shape that it relies on an overhang at the top, which the drill would destroy and make the ankle too loose :( This only seemed to happen to me btw, so don't worry too much lol

If anyone doesn't want their Prometheus body, i'll take it!....PM...ill pay shipping.

I see. Well I live by the creed that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong, so I'm bound to get at least one stuck in there! Lol:slap
