i got the lowdown on the "pinch" today at the comic con... the actual helmet over time has warped... MR used the helmet as a template and instead compromising other aspects of the helmet in order to compensate for the warp, just went with it as is. i don't know why SST went with an even more pronounced warp considering it is a sculpt...

Yeah this is really starting to bug me, the pinch wasn't as bad on the prototype. And the cool green isn't there anymore.

Yeah we need official confirmation if this is from production and of so are they all like that? Are we screwed? I don't know if I will keep this in it's current state.

Even if it's not from production, I think there is a zero percent chance that they will make changes to the sculpt. The paint may or may not change in production. Colors can change so much in photos that I'm still not convinced that the bust we saw in the SDCC photos is a different color than the one on Sideshow's site (it may in fact be the same exact bust).

I don't think so icruise, look at the paint and the pinch. It's very different. I don't normally collect LSB but this was too iconic, even for the overrated Fett man himself. I just love the design.

If I found a damaged bust for cheap, I would retouch and repaint the bust portion, and replace the head for the MR helmet.

I don't think so icruise, look at the paint and the pinch. It's very different.

I think you're right. I compared the pattern on the weathering between the one on Sideshow's site and the one shown at SDCC, and it's different.

that is an excellent idea, and I would try and find someone to make the top portion of his jet pack, as SS should have done in the first place.

Before I blow the $800 hey had better fix that damn pinch. Otherwise the fundage would be beter spent buying the parts through The Dented Helmet and making my own bust.

Would it do us any good to deluge them with requests at SS about addressing the problem?

you're really way better off just doing that. Judging by personal experience, those folks over at the TDH are second to none.

yes it has but obviously hasn't sold out.

OR, perhaps after SDCC there's been a few cancellations....?

I just wish they would have a Q&A over the helmet issue.
