Here's a question for the group--- would you pose Auric in A) golfing attire B) his cabana card playing pool wear C) his reddish (correct?) suit D) his US general disguise at Fort Knox?

And of those four which do you think would be easiest to find? Suggestions?

Go back a few pages -- I posted a rough how-to on these outfits.

Yep, Pjam is really on the mark with detail -- especially with Terminator and Aliens. He's the man! But believe me, I'm as obsessive about detail as anyone here. Just ask Pjam. :)

It will take some time to find the parts. And it will cost. But hey, you'll have a Goldfinger!

It really gets down to the look you want for him: the gold-lapel tux is fairly simple. A Ken doll tuxedo -- of which there's tons. A little gold paint or material on the lapels. Bam! Auric. Fairly cheap.

As I said, charly_Bond has a suitable Golf outfit and an Auric Stud outfit. Parts can be replaced as better options materialize.

For the Fort Knoex gear -- the uniform, well there's a lot out there. And overcoats as well that just need a dye bath to get that burnt-orange color.

Finding a "heavy" body? Well, the "Goring" figure has a 'fat' body. Or you can just stuff.

Its not really too hard...and its a lot of fun to make your own figure. I've done it alot.

Oops---- sorry, I must have missed this. Question-- what's the "Goring" figure ?

SPENSER!
you nailed the likeness with only 2 hours in?
you're a machine!

Yeah. I'd pay good money to see that time lapse video with a big clock in the background! :lol Might learn something too!

Go Spence!:chew

count me in! i voted for Pleasance/Blofeld just because u can get a Goldfinger off eBay from that Charly-Bond fellow, but i see that Spenser might make him next so i'm in for a Auric.

Count me in for two actually, as I have a local buddy that has EVERY JB SS figure, and GF is his favorite of all of them. I know he would want one.
So, add a +2 beside my name! :D

Goldfinger would be my first pick, but I'd buy them all. Why only three choices? I can think of at least 20 bond Villians I still want.

Good, you're on the list :)

If you can find someone willing to make those other 17 sculpts, have at it. Right now I'm happy with Auric and Blofeld.

I must be the only one who also would like a LARGO... easy to put together; using a Dragon wetsuit OR white tux.

So quick update... GOLDFINGER

Spenser has finished his amazing Goldfinger sculpt and will be posting pictures of the completed sculpt sometime later in the week.

He will be taking direct orders for those who are interested. He has not yet set a price. So far, the sculpt will be offered unpainted.

If you would like a pre-painted Goldfinger sculpt direct from Spenser, let him know here and perhaps that can become an option.

Here's his website if you'd like to see more of his work:

https://www.prophouse2000.com/anthropomorphichome.html

I hope we can keep this easy and smooth, because if this goes well and without a hitch Spenser has already said that he will next tackle a Donald Pleasance ERNST STAVRO BLOFELD, with nasty scar and all. So let's make it worth his while.

That said, I would like to thank Spenser for taking on this project with such enthusiasm and with an amazing turnaround time. YOU ROCK, SPENSER! And for me, a long-time dream has come true!

I would also like to send out a big THANK YOU to all of you who supported this thread and made this happen! Guys on the list -- you also ROCK! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

:)

Sweet. I'm excited to get my hands on one.

Is it going to work out in the $20-30 range we talked about?
Just wondering.

We certainly have enough people to help spread the cost out so I would expect it to be, but as Spenser took the initiative to do this it really is his call. Don't worry though, I'm sure he won't price himself out. He's read the thread and knows our expectations.

I had so much fun gold-leafing my Ark of the Covenant I'm going to have to do a dio of this scene:

I might wait until the Triad Eva body comes out, though.

Anyone remember this announcement from Shatterhand007.com:

New Sideshow Bond Figures For 2004 And Beyond

February 10, 2004 - DSBG

According to a source close to Sideshow Toys, new James Bond figures will soon grace the shelves of collectors. Memorable characters from Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, From Russia With Love, Moonraker, The Living Daylights and GoldenEye will soon be announced in the next few days.

Sideshow plans to bring out Donald Pleasance as Blofeld, Gert Frobe as Goldfinger, Adolfo Celi as Emilio Largo, Daniela Bianchi as Tatiana Romanov, and Robert Shaw as Red Grant. Plus Sir Miles Messervy as played by Bernard Lee.

Once again Sideshow Toys is helping to keep the British end up.

:)

Oh, how excited I was. Excited enough to save this blurb. And oh how long I've waited.

Our own Goldfinger news coming soon...

You certainly were not alone, W-G! I remember that announcement and felt a similar rush of excitement and anticipation at that impressive list of suggested characters. I haven't given up hope completely, but there hasn't been much to feel encouraged about for far too long. Unfortunately, it looks as though the "British end" has been left hangin' in the wind! :monkey2
