I just finished watching the series, and I do think this is up there with some of the best TV shows I've ever seen. I'm not sure it beats the Wire, but definitely the best show I've seen since then. Phenomenal work the guys at AMC did on it.

Is the Wire your number 1 Kara?

Not every season of the Wire was strong though. Seasons 2 and 5 were weak. Hated the Port case and the media. Can't ****ing stand this *******:

Every season of Breaking Bad was amazing.

I just caught up and finished BB earlier this week.
When ask what are the best tv shows of all time comedies come to mind and Seinfeld as # 1 with many other comedies filling the next 10 spots

Its not so easy to think of dramas. I thought season # 1 of "Homeland" was the best single season of tv ever written. I was highly impressed by season # 1 of "Lost". But both of those shows became bitterly dissappointing in subsequent seasons. Like "Twinn Peaks" , Homeland should have quit while it was ahead. Contrary to statements by the producers "LOST" did not know where it was going.

Given BB's subject matter I did not think it could appeal to me. I watched all 5 seasons in about a year and a half. I have to say that I truly believe this to be the BEST drama series ever produced.

It sustained itself over 5 seasons with a forwardly moving, logical story line and style that never faltered, waivered or meandered. Not to mention incomparable acting. Beautifully done.

P.S. I have not seen "The Wire". I guess thats next

Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

Don't know if this was posted already, so sorry if it has. Cranston does the ending we all wanted LOL

Holy ****! I haven't laughed that hard in quite a while. It really is kind of funny, now that I think about it, though. In a lot of ways, I saw Mr. Cranston grow as I did. I remember, as a kid, we had our cable turned off for a while, and we had these old, outdated rabbit ear antennas, and it was almost like a ritual for me. Every Sunday at 7:30 PM, I'd tune in for Malcolm on my local FOX affiliate, and, as an adult, I found myself practicing the same ritual with Breaking Bad.:lol

Meh, I didn't really find that too funny. I appreciate that Cranston did it, but that's all it had going for it. It felt like a Youtube fan video, but with actual actors.

I did laugh at the "is that you?" reference towards the ends, but otherwise, eh.

Wait....I was wrong. It was actually filmed by the crew, and will be included as the "alternate ending" on the blu ray set. :lol

Yep, agreed. Had to turn it off after less than a minute. Appreciate what they were going for with the Newhart ending but just didn't like it.

It wasn't so much laughing hysterically at the content, so much as it was laughing in disbelief at how that existed, and that it was official, and how awesome it was.
