I watched both AMC marathons. Didn't do much around the house during the BrBa binges. :lol
I haven't picked up the barrel set but plan too. I spent too much money on figures in November and blew my fun money budget! :monkey2

I have to say though, I've never seen a greater transformation of a character from start to end like there was with Walt. Incredible writing. Sadly, in the end he was a real monster. Even though we finished the entire series in just over a week I had to take a break here and there. It was a very negative feeling at times. Though I commend the writers and producers at making such a show in a realistic POV.

The scene with Walt and Hank in the garage was absolutely intense. Great tension.
The only criticism I have is that Walt never really got what was coming to him. I was expecting the consequences of his actions to be much harsher than they were.

He ended with nothing left really...pretty much got what was coming. He lost the entire reason he started cooking in the first place

:exactly: He lost his family, the reason he did it, and died alone. What more did you want?

The fact that his son will benefit from his crimes was wrong. But hey, it's entertainment :dunno

I wouldn't really agree with that. Seems kinda silly that we're still spoiler tagging stuff, but white text below for anyone still watching...

OK, sure, Skyler's not in love with him anymore (big deal, marriage has been broken for a long time) and Jr's pissed (probably in 10 years he will think his dad was a badass, though). He still got away with everything on his terms and found a way to leave his family $10M, which was way more than he ever thought he'd be able to leave in the beginning. Including the plane crash, he was responsible for what, over 100 deaths? I thought his karmic punishment was pretty mild in comparison.

He lost his family. His wife and children hated him. He lost his life. I think he got his comeuppance.

Lol, don't take it personally. Totally disagree with you, though.

It's funny, out of all the deaths Walt is the only person I felt emotion towards :cuckoo:
He started off doing it for his family but got greedy.

Hadn't noticed that, good catch, greygoose. That's a nice feature. Should prevent a bit of confusion that happens occasionally because of quoting and subsequent editing.

I knew he'd die in the end and that Jesse would live. I too expected a much more harsh departure. Though as most have already said, he died with nothing good in the end.

Greedy yes but he also suffered from pride and leaving a new legacy behind. It was his way at getting back at Elliot. Having said that I felt more sorry when Hank died. Walt became a POS in the end.

He was a POS until the last episode..I wish they wouldve left Walts ending much less redemptive

Yup ! Everything he left behind was in shambles! Skylar , Walt Jr, Marie, Gomies Family are all scarred by Walts decisions .

True, but i guess I was anticipating something horrific, like Skyler/Jr getting wasted and Holly living w/Hank and Marie. Seems like everyone but Walt paid the price. In my mind, he was prepared to die with Skyler and Jr. hating him once he accepted Gus' "a man provides, even if he's not loved" speech, so losing them in that respect was not a big deal.

That's not the feeling I got as he visited Skylar,Holly & Walt Jr in that last episode. Standing in Holly's nursery and looking on at Walt Jr as he entered the house, Walt looked like a completely broken man to me.
