I like TWD but the shows are night and day in terms of overall quality. TWD is still better than most things on tv though, it just speaks to how well made BB was in every facet.

For me it's a solid show to watch in between seasons of the others. Seems to me fans of TWD are mostly digging it 'cause it's got zombies in it - but show me the awesome cinematography... is there a single standout performance? Can anyone remember any dialogue that is at all memorable? Mmmmnup...

I just loved watching One-Eye Bri ham up the scenery.

Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

People need you watch the HBO show The Tudors, Henry the Eighth was awesome. I have a British wife so normally she finds the good things to watch like the Borgias.

is House of Cards really good?

House of Cards is fantastic. I've got one more episode to watch in the first season and haven't been disappointed with any episode. One great thing about the series is that Netflix releases the entire season at once so you can binge-watch if you want without having to wait for a new episode every week. Definitely give it a shot.

I stand corrected :lol

Yeh, I don't mean to slam it outright, I enjoy watching it for what it is. But what it is is a tasty burger in a joint next door to a Michelin-starred restaurant.

I really enjoyed The Tudors. The youth and chiselled good looks of Jonathan Rhys Meyers made it a little difficult to buy him as Henry, but that was easy to look past in the face of everything else the show had to offer. I especially enjoyed the historical accuracy of The Tudors, as opposed to a show like Rome, that took all sorts of liberties for the sake of dramatic effect.

I'm a sucker for political power-play drama, so I dig it. Some of the elements are a bit far-fetched, to the extent that some of the characterisation slips into caricature, but overall the performances are solid, cinematography well handled, and the narrative tightly scripted. I wouldn't recommend this show if you don't care for politics, but it is great drama.

I'm rewatching the series again right now. Truly one of the best ever, IMO.

And amazing video, Kubrick. Thanks for posting that.

It's cool too how so much of what Gus, Walter, and Jesse do individually all mirror each other's journey and eventual outcome.

GTA BB would sell like hot cakes and I can already see the angry politicians who don't want their kids playing Meth Salesman The Video Game. :lol

I'm sure Gilligan is joking, but what would you do in Breaking Bad videogame??

There's not a lot of action, so it's not like you'd run around car-jacking people. I haven't played GTAV yet, so I'm not sure how that played out, with dropping between characters, but I assume it's the standard bank heist, drive here, pick up this guy, drive him over there, rinse repeat formula??

Video games have evolved a lot in the last few years. Its not all about racing cars, shooting people. and collecting coins. It doesn't have to be an action oriented game. I mean they can have you run around town collecting supplies, avoid the cops, juggle multiple things at once, etc. It could also be like the TT walking dead games where it is more of an interactive video for a majority of the time rather than a true video game. Having to make split second decisions that would decide your future outcome. If they did that, they could even write in some alternate ending of the show where there is no happy ending for anyone or Walt gets away with everything, etc, etc. I think if done well (and I would think Gilligan would make sure it was) a BrBa game could be quite fun and a cool thing to happen. I know I'd check it out.

It would just be a next-gen reboot of Chex Quest, with Flynn as the main character.

I'm conflicted.

As a kid who grew up on trading cards, both sport and entertainment, the fact that these exist make me happy.

On the other hand, I won't buy these.
