Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

Breaking bad two, Walter survived and has a new parter.

I've always asked 'did he actually die?'

Could be cool to see him come back for more but I'd also be happy to leave it as was.
Easy money with a followup.

No more. Perfect ending. Vince should know this.

He redeemed himself. Died leaving something behind he could be proud of. Was the point all along. He comes back and it's ruined imo. Prequel stuff on Saul only.

Agreed. Though, personally, I don't want to see him on Saul, either, unless it meshes perfectly with the way things went down on BB (I.e. Walt's first appearance should be as Jessie's "uncle.").

Re: No love for Breaking Bad?

I think they need to leave everything alone, no prequels no sequels about anybody. What they should do is have the writers write a whole different show . obviously whatever the team was who did Breaking Bad knows what they're doing why not do something entirely different than the milk the same cow. What are going to call it The Meth Menace staring Jacob Lloyd

To me, Walter White died in the lab as the authorities poured in. But, of course a rewrite could of change all that. Where Walt was shot wasn't that devastating so who knows.

That would be a major cop out to me though. I don't see Gilligan and the team doing that, that'd be ********. It's most likely Better Caul Saul. Even THAT sort of bugs me though. The cast is getting older, it's already going to be harder to see Odenkirk and Johnathan as younger versions of themselves in there as each year passes by. Cranston and Co. too though? I don't know.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that didn't buy Ozymandias's opening flashback with a "younger" Walt and Jesse (and even Skylar). Especially Jesse. You could clearly see they were 5 years older and wearing wigs. It just wasn't natural. I'd rather not see that done again for Better Call Saul. I think Dean Norris summed it up perfectly as to why he didn't want to return for Saul,

"I think that experience was that experience. I’m not a big fan of kind of revisiting something that has already been done."

They could always show Walter in the show but not have him interact with Saul.

Let's say they are at a restaurant, Saul comes in to eat as well. they don't even sit near each other. and then we see Walter talk to his wife or something. completely unrelated to Saul.

Just leave it alone. Walter White is dead. I'd argue that Breaking Bad ended pretty much the way most fans wanted it to. Why **** with that? I wouldn't really mind a Walter appearance in Better Call Saul as long as it takes place before BB.

"Felina" was about as close to a perfect ending as you can get for that show. It's one of those rare cases where, for me, at least, there were no "well, they could've done this or that" instances, it was pure satisfaction with what I'd just seen all across the board.

I watched it again the other day, and I actually thought it was even better after the second or third viewing. I was still really impressed. Miss the show dearly.

And we were lucky because some of the other ideas they had for endings sounded pretty crazy

Yeah there was ending ending where Jessie was in prison and Walt was going to break him out killing most of the guards or something like that....I read in in Entertainment Weekly
