Yes, Maul has the closed mouth appearance similar to GG's new mini-bust. The robe didn't look so hot at a quick glance, but I'm sure we'll be more than pleased with the final product (after all...look at why Obi-Wan's been delayed).

I too am glad they decided to go with the closed mouth look as it give us more pose options for him. I can't wait to see all the new photos of this guy and i sure hope he comes before christmas!!

Hasbro's versions were actually pretty good. The level of detail in the Sideshow will be head and shoulders above, but so will the price. As for the droid set, it's hard to tell by that little fuzzy pic but it's probably a pass for me as well. $30 bucks seems pretty high for this, though.

By the way, hasn't anyone commented on Maul's long arms yet??

From what I remember, it was more of a cold stoic expression...very similar to the shot on Naboo just before the duel. That expression when he lowers his hood to Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.

As for the probe droids, my pic really doesn't bring them out in detail. Sorry 'bout that. Stinkin' camera phones...

They're set up similar to the Senate camera droids from the Hasbro figures of Senator Palpatine and Orn Free Taa. Keep in mind, it does say "prototype shown...not final product"
