They must, right? They supplied the picture. But I read somewhere that this Insider edition was not scheduled to hit the streets for another week or more. Someone said that in the text it refers to the regular edition being available as if they assumed the Exclusive would already be sold out by the time this hit its subscribers.

Yeah, what I said was that the previous issue (or current depending on how you look at it) said "Display until June 10 (I believe it was the 10th)", so technically Suncoast put their copies out early. And it did say: "The regular version should still be available for preorder at www.sideshowcollectibles.com for $49.99"

And yeah, I'd love to see Sideshow just reveal it now since the cat's out of the bag. I know they probably can't move up the pre-order date on such short notice, but at least give us something more than the typical "teaser" pic. Heck, give us a robed and unrobed shot.

Isn't the point of us being part of the newsletter to get cool info before everyone else...Seems as of late that SS has been beat to the punch on some of their big announcements...

Im with Sith Lord 0498. I think that particular store (and maybe a few others here and there) put the magazine out earlier than it should have gone out. But I agree it does make the newsletter kind of pointless (at least this weeks).

This could only serve to raise awareness for a much anticipated figure. SS seems very crafty in product announcement. Very crafty indeed!
This along with the new "Inclusive" status should serve as making Maul the largest ES ever!

So then you would have to buy more Lukes and Hans... off evilbay.

Not sure if the accessory packs will end up being full outfits or just "things" to go with the character. You know, like Palpatine's CHAIR.

ironically I was considering doing this to get Hoth Luke and Han Solo as the Hasbro costumes aren't TOO bad for these. But yes unless they release additional base figures this will drive the price on these up alot if and when the accessory packs are released.

Actually, that could be one way for Sideshow to technically release variations without charging us (or having to sculpt) brand new figures. Yeah, the head sculpts (particularly the hair styles) may not match, but it'll prevent SSC from being labeled "rehashers" or any of the other colorful descriptions flung at Hasbro.

Yeah....now if they would only start releasing various heads for figures... We all know how to safely switch them, so why not an accessory pack with an alternate costume and headsculpt? That would be kinda cool...

Even if it will never ever ever happen. :lol

First of all, how do you safely switch the heads?? Luke's my first SSC figure.

Secondly, an alternate costume and headsculpt is practically an entirely new figure. The bodies are a constant. All that changes from figure to figure is the head and costuming (well, the hands too). I doubt we'll see any alternate heads in the accessory packs.

Switching the heads is easy....You just boil some water... not too hot, just beginning to boil. Plunk the nude figure in the cup or whatever you have the water in... Let it sit for about 5 minutes and the plastic starts to soften. You then can pop the head off with relative ease. :monkey5

I doubt they would ever do it, as it is almost a whole new figure. But it would be cool to have alternate "fighting" heads for the Jedi and Sith.. Just to pose them in battle from time to time. I mean...poor Luke just does not have the "fighting face"... :lol

Ah, so it is the same method as switching the heads on Hasbro figures. But didn't Sideshow make figures that have alternate heads?? What about them?

I'm still trying to figure out how Sideshow is going to package Maul's fully extended double bladed lightsaber in their current box style. :lol

Will the blades be removeable?

Probably diagonally.

I've had more success with using a hair dryer to warm the neck and then it pops right off... but that's been with heads that were more hollow, I'm not sure about the Sideshow noggins.
