Can't really tell much from that picture, so let's wait till we get more/better pics.

I agree. The robes cover up so much of the figure that we can't get a good sense of the body proportions.

I think it is safe top say that Maul will be on a small body (like Luke) but hopefully they will have fixed the monkey arm probs with Maul. :monkey2 :chew :chew :monkey2

Not suprised in the least, like we didn't know anyway. Well, not for sure but the half-Maul gave it away IMO. This fig will be great, don't care about droid packs, rather see accessory packs rolling our way soon.

this is a very smart thing to do for popular figures, I am expecting a pre-order window of 1-2 days

I think this is the first of many accessory packs to come. Already, we have two figures that warrant an accessory pack: Luke and Han (both with their Endor variations as potential packs).

Kudos to Sith Lord for breaking this on the SSF forum and for posting the initial pic.

As an owner of a customized Hasbro 12-inch Darth Maul, I agree with several posters who have said the photo isn't clear enough to reach any conclusions of how he looks--- but this is great news, although not unanticipated.

Love the idea of accessory packs, particularly if future SW accessory packs include uniforms, weapons, gear etc.

However, "These are not the Probe Droids you're looking for ..."

So then you would have to buy more Lukes and Hans... off evilbay.

Not sure if the accessory packs will end up being full outfits or just "things" to go with the character. You know, like Palpatine's CHAIR.

Either of which I would buy (Endor Luke, Hoth Han Accessory packs)... Any idea how much something like that would cost?

Yeah, right...I'll just rotate the outfits regularly. Kinda like the tires on my car. :)

It's not unlikely that Palpatine's throne will be in an accessory pack. That could be considered a "display base". Although, I think it'll be more than $30 if there're any other accessories with it. Perhaps $40.

I have to say, even though this Maul announcement was not unexpected, it really makes me appreciate the new inclusive system... for once I don't have to sweat about possibly missing out on a figure... this boyo is guaranteed to now be in my collection :maul

I am glad that its not gonna be a mad dash from computer to computer to see which one has gotten through to the PPO... But on the other hand, I am going to miss those days (and the exercise)... :monkey2

PS King, you might not have to wait that long since we are getting pics scanned direct from the magazine... hopefully.

Glad to see its Maul...cant wait until thursday to see some really good pix..

We'll probably only get a "teaser" pic anyways. We won't see multiple full body and close-up shots until the pre-order, which will probably be the 16th.

I wonder if Sideshow knew that this was going to be included in the Insider, and if they knew the exact timeframe? Seems like magazines have had the first big reveal of product lately--several items have been seen first in that Tomart (or whatever the title is).

I wonder if they know that the beans are going to be spilled through other channels, or if they are just as surprised as we are to see pictures leaked before we hear about it in the newsletter.

And the preview pic on Thursday will prolly be the exact same pic from the SW Insider.

They must, right? They supplied the picture. But I read somewhere that this Insider edition was not scheduled to hit the streets for another week or more. Someone said that in the text it refers to the regular edition being available as if they assumed the Exclusive would already be sold out by the time this hit its subscribers.

Okay, a little late to the party on this one, but Maul looks great, as much as a fuzzy red head in a sea of black can, but given the work on the bust, I expect the sculpt to be top notch. I am really happy that the "inclusive" system is now in place too, and will make pre-orders much easier. I like the idea of the probe droids, but I think the price point may or may not be justified by the base. 30 seems high for just floating the droids, but if it has space for Maul as well, I will certainly fall for it. I will likely buy the probe droids just to "vote with my dollars" and show sideshow I am behind the idea of accessory packs and diorama styled bases.

Maybe Dusty will let us know. It seems interesting that there's a magazine preview at the same time the inclusive program begins.
