Great work icruise! I like your Bishop. I was VERY lucky to find a loose Ripley body on eBay WITH her boots on. I then cut them down for my custom Bishop. I'd love to see your Bishop too "tigerfeet" when he's ready. I'm looking for a notebook laptop for my Bishop similar to the nice one that "pjam" has for is "OOAK" One Of A Kind Bishop! Have you guys seen his Bishop? WhOaH! His is the best I've seen so far....rooted "real" hair....moveable eyes?! Awesome! :D

Here's a quick shot of all my Aliens figures so far. They look pretty cool spread out on the kitchen table, but I don't think my wife would want them there on a permanent basis! :D

Wow, that' a nice collection you got going icruise! I'd suggest to get Les or someone, or even yourself, to repaint the Ripley heads. Everything else looks great! I plan on making the "half Bishop" someday myself too. I'll use the tips you gave on how to make him here.

I want to get the alien warriors someday too. I have all of the marines, and Ripley, my custom Newt, and custom Bishop and Cpl. Dietrich. But, I don't have any aliens yet.

Just curious, what parts have you guys broken off these figures yet? I broke a little peg that connects Drakes headset to his chest plate. Hudson so far made it through with nothing broken. Hicks I am waiting till my Les repaint is done.

Yeah, I actually got the normal Ripley the day I took that photo, and the Power Loader was just a few days before that, so those are straight out of the box. I like the paint job on the Power Loader Ripley pretty well, but the normal one could definitely use some attention.

You should definitely try it. I got my Frank Black figures for $25-$30 shipped, so they're not too expensive. You could probably get away with just removing the entire abdomen and then having the guts come out of the chest area, which would save you from having to dremel out the abdomen. That and cutting the figure in half are the hard parts, really.

I can't believe you don't have any aliens! As figures, they're way too fragile, but they look very impressive and you can't have a complete Aliens collection without an Alien. I would only have one, but I lucked out and got Chavez's alien with the broken leg for only $50 shipped. I was able to fix him up well enough to display, and I must say that having two does give me more flexible display options. You should also look into getting the power loader. It really does rock! In fact, I would put that before the Aliens, since I have a feeling the loader may be harder to find in the future.

To answer Badmoon's question above, I haven't broken any marines parts, but as I mentioned in the power loader thread, I did break a few things on the power loader trying to put it together. Nothing that I couldn't fix, though.

The only broken part for me so far has been the little clip that holds Apone's shoulder lamp on to his armor. I will superglue it and hang the lamp from it again soon.

Oh...I have the power loader icruise! Yeah, buddy, I did the "flex-pay" payment plan for it with Sideshow. I got it in a few weeks ago. I've since repainted Ripley's head. I will likely repaint it again, since I'm not that happy with it. I am happy with her shirt that I dirtied up and weathered with some washes of black and gray paint mixtures. I'll post some pictures soon. I'll give that a try just putting a hole in the Bishop's chest after I get a second Frank Black figure someday for my custom "impaled" Bishop. Thanks for your tips and help! :D

The only prolem I had when I put my USCM was when I got Hicks waaaaay back when I got him, the webbing on the cod piece that goes between his legs came loose, but a dab of gule fixed it good as new.

that and I untied one of his boots, but that really does'nt count as breakage, just stupidity.

off course I have a lite touch comes to these like this.

Yep, already got them for my Bishop! I just cut off the tops of them and they work great! I was able to find them for a little less than that on eBay. I was pretty lucky. I've been seeing them on there now for $25.00 or more from sellers in Hong Kong.

Yeah, I just cut them off at the top of the "tongue" of the shoe that goes under the laces or velcro straps on them. I know that Bishop didn't wear the full Reebok boots like Ripley. His were the shorter "hi-top" basketball type shoes. :D

This just in:

I got my working lamps and tracker back from Glenn!

It's really amazing what he does. All 5 lamps work great, bulbs seem to glow even and steady, and the tracker is excellent! I haven't seen them at night yet, so I can't wait until it gets dark to see the full power. But I got to say, at this scale, this is pretty insane! Glenn has just put my Aliens Marines over-the-top in terms of jaw-dropping coolness.

With the working lights on the Power Loader, these lamps and tracker will really make a night-time Aliens display FRICKIN' INSANE on the shelf!

I'll take some shots late tonight to post tomorrow. The blinking tracker is really something you have to see in hand though.

Yes, yes!!! Show us some night pics! I saw the pics pjam posted of his and they were insanely cool. Congrats on having one of the baddest of the bad-ass sets of marines!

OK, sorry for the blurry pictures but night photography is tough.

And here's a Wor-GIF to give you an idea how it looks blinking (this is day so it's brighter than the Gif shows):

That is badass Cool, WG. Love the gif. Your MT groupings/clusters seem larger than mine, they look great.

I can't believe glenn actually pulled this off, there are probably less than 5 of these hurricane MTs made. A very rare and cool upgrade indeed.

btw, you may also want to post that in the Hurricane Aliens lamps thread too..
