Yeah, those are awesome! I want to get a set someday for all of my marines, and at least one motion tracker for Hudson to hold. Ahhhh....someday.... Oh sorry, I was dreaming again!

Yeah, I only got one tracker upgraded, the other one I'm leaving as is, just gear to hang on someone's shoulder. One is plenty, and it's Hudson's.
The lamps on the other hand were a decision -- one I went back and forth on with Pjam many times. I was going to get just 3 lamps lit, and leave 2 as they originally came -- pristine. But then, I couldn't decide who should get a working lamp and who shouldn't. It was too much to bear... so I got all 5 lamps lit.
There ended up being no point for me to save anything because it was "original"... I mean, I've customized every inch of my marines anyway, so might as well do the lamps too, right? I figure it only improves upon them and makes them really 'stand out' to say the least.

Btw, I know how tough it is to decide how far to go, it was the same for me. Unfortunately, I had to postpone my order with Glenn temporarily due to so much expensive stuff that shipped in December, but I hope to get 6 lamps and at least 1 tracker done in the very near future. I decided to keep a pair of lamps and 2 trackers in original condition, but like you guys, I need all my marines maxed out, too.

Yeah, I had the same dilemma... but ultimately I figured between new headsculpts and weathered armor and the new bits of gear and removing that poor HT knife, etc, then why not improve the lamps and tracker as well.
For anyone worried about re-sale in the long run, I would think an Aliens fan would rather have a decked-out, fully realized marine, with working gear, rather than just the poor original that came right out of the box.
If nothing else, upgrading is wicked fun.

Hurricane is amazing, those lambs are wicked and i liked how the wires look better than ones we get. And the tracker wow!, im amazed that the electronic can be fitted in there and still look the same and better.
Yep, Hurricane is amazing. He really does leave a small footprint on these things with his electronics. Unlit, you'd never know they were different...then...WOW!

I'd like to eventually get those "working lamps" from Hurricane for all of my marines, including the custom ones I'm making for Cpl. Dietrich, Pvt. Frost, Pvt. Crowe, Pvt. Weirzbowski, and then the Hot Toys ones for Vasquez, Hudson, Drake, Apone, and Hicks. So, I'm looking at eventually getting 9 lamps someday! Wow, I'll have to get them in groups when I can I guess. I'd also want one "working" motion tracker for my Hudson. You gotta get one for him!

The skin tones seem too yellow, but that could be the photograph. I've had my own troubles getting my photographs to match the actual skin tones of my figures. As for the sculpt, it seems too cartoony -- like a caricature. All in all, it's really not bad, but there are obviously better alternatives out there for this character.

Yeah, I agree! The best alternative I've ever seen has been Les Walker's custom heads for Hicks!
Mike, that looks like the Frontline head to me, you can get it cheap yourself and paint it.

You're right, it is. I didn't recognize it painted.
Well one thing Frontline has over the HT heads is Biehn's nose, if HT had done the nose right too, theirs and Les's modified head would be even freakier in the likeness department.

Okay, well, I already have that head. I already painted it. I may put it on my Hicks body someday and see how it looks. I have an extra male HT body now anyway that I can put an extra head on. I am hoping to get in on Les Walker's next round of his custom "spikey-haired" Hicks heads next month.
I missed out on them them first time, and I really, really want one! How about it Les? Please....
