So uh, any reviews of this bad boy? I wonder what people think and how accurate this piece is. Looks pretty tempting.

It's no more accurate than the 1:1 piece, in that he's got very large rims around his eyes where there shouldn't be any, making them look too big and bug-eyed. You can see this pretty well in this shot. The actual prop is on the left, my old Sideshow 1:1 is on the right.

Also, the number of indentations in the "halo" around his head is wrong. That might sound like "rivet counting" but it's pretty obvious even in the photos above that the indentations to the left and right of the "horn" at the top of his head are missing in the Sideshow piece, and I can't figure out why they did that.

That said, I frankly wish that I had skipped the 1:1 (which I subsequently sold at a loss) and bought this. It's not perfect, but like the 1:1 I'm sure it's impressive in person. And the price is MUCH more reasonable.

very objective, balanced review.

sorry you had to take a loss on the 1:1 icruise.

I would be very hesitent to purchsae any 1:1 statue from SS after all the issues with the driods.

Were you the one who sold yours on eBay recently for $500?

I'd be all over this if I wan't committed to so many high-end items already. Someday....

I inquired about this piece at my local shop, and apparently this is on backorder and should be available soon. So don't fret boys, for those interested. I am going to pull the trigger.

Great pics, Every new set of pics I see makes me want this more and more. It will be mine :impatient:

Once you start collecting the life size busts, it's addictive.
My 1st bust was Greedo and now I nearly have all of them with the exception of Darth Maul, I'm keeping my eye out for one of him. I just ordered the Yoda life size bust off of Amazon.com. I can't wait til he gets here!

I used to have quite a few life sized Busts, I had Vincent & Jules from Pulp Fiction, Caeser from Planet Of The Apes, Predator and a few others, This C-3PO looks to better all of them, Such an iconic character too.
