But the intensity of the light is perfect with the original batteries!

I thought that way about the recent flashlight I bought. Came with a battery that sucked. As soon as I put a premium battery in it was amazing. Not saying this will turn out the same. I would rather have a better set in just as a safeguard against any leaking from the cheap ones provided. I'm an optimist. Would be cool if there were a difference In My Opinion.

I just make sure they work correctly, then right off! I'll put batteries in and light them up if one of my friend wants to see or for pictures but thats it!

That's cool bro. I bask in their light up glory on a daily basis. :hi5:

Thank you ! you know what… after reversing the batteries, it works.
Weird… but I am just happy that it works.

One goes on R2 s front panel, should snap on. Other on 3pos chest area. It should attract somewhere on there.

hah! i was going crazy looking everywhere on c3po for the second bolt location, didn't realize it is on r2d2. thank you!!! :clap

--------------

Got my ex earlier this week, 1 word to describe it - disappointment.

I didnt bother to even set them up, the chrome paint on c3po's looks amateurish, the areas where there is detail you can see the paint stacked - signs it was just sprayed without much thought, lots plastics as well.

r2d2 finish actually looks better but no attempt were made to show the can as metal instead of plastic.

I dont have a big problem with plastic as many of you do, as long as it is done well, for $750 i expect it at least to be hot toys quality level - it is not.

Thing is repacked and in storage, i am deciding to leave it there or return to sideshow.

Not happy.

Just going back to my original post, i am much much happier with the weathered edition, the c3po paint looked significantly better with weathering, with the ex it was just mono yellow paint spray - very little in common with actual chrome plating and more like a toy, the weathered version actually looks like worn out metal plating and added tons of depth to the overall statue. They did a great job on the weathering.

R2D2 also looked better with weathering but not to such an extend as c3po, it made it look less like a plastic toy and more realistic with same depth/shadow. If you pick it up it still feels like a plastic toy, but on display it looks much improved.

Also that reminds me i still got the ex droids buried in the storage unit somewhere.

Overall i am satisfied with this set, a 25% price haircut was icing on the cake. With a good set of droids, I have now finally completed my star war collection shelf with all the characters i want. Very happy!
