Thanks tomandshell. How do you you get the High Res. If I knew I would put up the other photos in High res myself.
R2 in the reg version looks outstanding, but C-3PO looks a little too black ? (not a racist comment )
it's the lighting
I see. Well, one way or the other I'll get these. Now just to wait and see if the WL converts. Was on it about 15-20 later. What sucks though, is that I can't use Flex now even if it does convert
at the people quibbling over the usage of the word "Yavin". I was able to figure that they meant the ceremonial look where they were polished and cleaned without nitpicking.
just got back from work guys. think i missed something here. why is the exclusive not there anymore? has it sold out already?
You can contact them after a conversion to change it to flexpay so long as the conversion isn't when it's in stock and ready to ship.
I remember when they were taking orders from the floor for the EX Hulk PF. They ended up taking a ton of orders from attendees, and the edition size had to be increased accordingly. That's if I recall correctly. I'm sure that's a hassle they want to avoid. It's a lot easier to stop taking online orders than to somehow count up all the sheets of paper in the middle of the show, determine when something is sold out, and then try and communicate that to every single employee taking orders without any accidental orders over the limit. You're pretty much guaranteed to inflate the edition size when you sell that way. I understand why they want to limit the ordering to the website--especially with the exclusives.
The bases shown on the Ex. version are the bases that are included with C-3PO/R2-D2. There is no plan to include an additional base with the Exclusive version. Since the Ex. Droids are in their 'Yavin' look (eg: shiny and clean) that is why the word 'Yavin' has been used.
The regular Edition will only come with the desert base.

As an aside for tomandshell they did that at the Ansin/Taylor/Kelly show. All digital on iPads. Just touch the picture of the print(s) to order, auto-added to cart... totaled, tax added, swipe the card.... done.
My quibble was the fact they called the bases they came on Yavin bases. That is not a film acurate base. No big deal though. I think I will even get off the Ex waitlist. The more I look at the reg and all it's real Exclusives the more I want it
