It's funny how people who absolutely rave about the DRoM, are complaining about this pair. How is it different that for almost the same price, on one hand, we have a chunk of polystone and a piece of ABS, which " sucks, not worth it, etc ", and on the other, its a chunk of polystone, and a bunch of rags, but " OMG!! He is so awesome!! "

Bunch of rags LOL!!! It's one of the reasons I could never get that piece. There is nothing under the top half.

It's all perspective :). R2 and 3PO are for sure overpriced. But so is every Hot Toys figure. It is what it is worth to the individual collector. If it means a lot to you and you can find a way to enjoy it... That's what our hobby is about. :) I don't really care about plastic or polystone. It's all junk we don't "need" ;)

Here's to being fortunate enough to be complaining about $500-$1000 toys... We are blessed no doubt :)

Unless the material itself mandates a more expensive process the material will always be the lowest factor of cost be it on purpose or not. You are paying for quality of sculpt and the mould not be overused. Paint job is another large factor so the perception is just soo reversed of reality here. You look at Hasbro toys and that's exactly what is different, sculpts are off and details in the plastic missing for a reason and the paint jobs are done in 60sec. A Picasso drawing on a napkin will be worth more than your oil painting on the most exquisite canvas ;)
For me even though the wrist way to justify cost is wether It is the best option I have for what I want w compromises in tow. This vs 1:6 Medicon droids @ $500 vs latest diecast 1:6 Bandai droids @?? This still beats them all even if unlit and ones the lights are on there is ok contest!!

PS. Need we must these droids .... We must need

I received my faceplate yesterday (that was missing in the first shipment) and the one they sent me is more weathered like the rest of my 3Po and darker.. AND has NO DENT !!

WTF sideshow ?!?! it looks like its a repainted exclusive head ...

I feel cheated and they trying to fool me on that...

na I am not picky at all.. but missing dent and the color mismatch is very obvious.. and for $750 you should be allowed to be a bit picky anyway I would say :0

Absolutely! When you pay these prices you deserve perfection.

Well they say its random if u get a dent head or not... ssc website shows no dent... not sure what to say..do...think...about that...

No dent either on mine and more than happy with it.
Watch Ep.IV again and you'll see a good portion of the time the droids spend on Tatooine is with C3PO and no dent.
