It would be interesting if it totally flopped. Something on this scale has never happened before. I mean, the guy is spending years, much of his fortune, and has another 3-5 movies in the pipeline -- what happens if his sequel-buster flagship just flatly and clearly flops? What we he do? Talk about cautionary tale for Hollywood for all time. The Man who would be King.

I'm not saying it will, I'm just saying imagine if it did. How that would forever change Cameron -- and likely franchise-building as a whole.

It won't flop. It might underperform, it might suck, but it will make it's money. Enough to warrant a line of sequels.... ?

I have to think Disney has some say over allowing the 'brand' to be damaged.

Avatar 2: First look at sequel's next generation cast

The young actors playing Sully’s family are revealed here for the first time, along
with the children from another Na’vi clan, called the Metkayina, who dwell on
giant oceanic atoll reefs under the rule of a leader named Tonowari (Cliff Curtis
of Fear the Walking Dead).

Of course, in the above photo, you’ll have to use your imagination a bit to picture
the cast in CG character as lanky blue cat-eyed Na’vi. That is, with one exception
— Javier “Spider” Socorro (played by 12-year-old Jack Champion, who’s standing
on the right in a blue shirt in the above photo). Spider is a human teenager born
at the Hell’s Gate military complex, a crucial location in the first film.

Looks like an Old Navy ad. :lol

By the time Cameron makes this movie, they will be of age and in their early thirties.

Good planning, genius.

Does the Disney connection now make sense to anyone else here?

That cast of kids isn't diverse enough.

I can see having one kid in your movie (Newt, John Connor, etc.), but 7? Jesus Cameron.

This whole thing of handing off the reins to a younger cast with Stah Wahs, Terminator, and Avatar is just silly. I mean, I assumed Cameron would show Jake Sully's kid/kids or something, but this?

Oh well, that cast still looks more intimidating than the cast from that new Predator movie.

“Want your Millennium Falcon, Georgie?' Mickey asked. 'I only repeat myself because you really do not seem that eager.' He held it up, smiling. He was wearing a baggy silk suit and on his hands were big white gloves, like the kind Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck always wore.

Yes, sure,' George said, looking into the storm drain.

And a balloon? I’ve got red and green and yellow and blue...'

Do they float?' George replied.

Float?' Mickey's grin widened. 'Oh yes, indeed they do. They float! They float,' it growled, 'they float, Georgie, and when you’re down here with me, you’ll float, too–'

I wonder what they threatened to do to George when he initially refused to sell Star Wars to them.
