There was absolutely nothing original about Avatar Except the look of the movie (the sets/creatures etc) That is pretty much the only original thing of the movie,

It's still a good movie but I find Cameron's self-praise on the Avatar discs highly annoying.

Like only referencing that "Brother Termite" alien dude or whatever his name was that Digital Domain created in 2001 as the benchmark CG character that paved the way for the Na'vi. No mention of Jar Jar, Gollum, Davy Jones, or Kong.

And then he went off about his genius idea to have the Na'vi draw their bowstrings with their fingers reversed because no one has ever done that and it's just so "alien."
