There were a lot of people who hated that movie from the beginning. A lot of them are right here. :lol

I actually still really like Avatar. I feel its become the Call Of Duty of movies. You hear a lot of hate for it on the Internet but when it hits it will be huge & **** yeah it will get a lot of hate at the same time

I didn't mind it. It looked great, but the story was weak. There are obviously some people here who hate it because it raped them in some way.

I was turned off by Avatar because of the hype. It came on DirecTV and then I saw it and liked it enough to watch it twice. It was a nice movie, with most of it's impressiveness in it's visual effects. Without those visual effects, it's sort of a Dances With Wolves, but not as good.

I liked Avatar and still do, but I didn't care for all the hype around it.

That being said, there's no way that this will be out in a year and a half if they don't even have the script finished.

I really hope there is at least 5 avatars, and I hope they get worst as it goes lol :rotfl
to the point that not even the amazing 3D will save the awful stories
I wish that to happen :yess:

Don't wish. Avatar is bad enough now. Avatar was one of the most overhyped movies ever. Its not a really BAD film - just not a terribly interesting one. I truly don't get the love for this retelling of "Dances With Wolves." Which imo was actually a better film.

The colors are like an acid trip. I want to go watch Man of Steel again just at the thought of those colors.

If Cameron wants to waste his not inconsiderable talents on blue cat people - well - he is the master of his own destiny.

Didn't let the initial overhype, then band-wagoning hate train sway my opinion of the film. It was a good movie and I enjoyed it, so I'll be looking forward to the sequels.

I liked avatar the first time i saw it. But its kind of like the social network for me. The more i watch it the more i fall in love with the film. Looking forward to the sequel. Cameron knows how to make a sequel.

It really doesn't sound like Avatar 2 will come out December 2014 but if it does and goes head to head with Hobbit 3 then I'll say this:

The last time PJ made a "Part 3" it won 12 Academy Awards. The last time Cameron made a sequel it was Terminator 2.

My money's on Jackson. :)

I never felt very strongly about the film either way. It was decent, enjoyable 3D experience, very derivitive story, but fine escapism.

It's got it's share of laughable moments and moments where you do get into the action on the screen. But the movie is first and foremost a technical achievement, I'm not so sure that Cameron was terribly concerned with telling an original story, and it shows.

One was enough. Two is okay but 4? Come on Cameron, 3 and 4 will be the Terminator 3 and Salvation of this.

From what I read months ago Avatar 4 will by far be the most interesting. 2 and 3 will close out the "Jake" trilogy while 4 will be a prequel showing the first humans/marines that landed on Pandora and the hell they had to go through to set up a base.

They're filming all three sequels simultaneously to be released 2016, 2017, and 2018. Hmmm, I wonder if the fourth will be a prequel then if the production is being lumped with the other two sequels.

Agreed with all of Celtic's GIFs. This is ridiculous, why 4 Avatar films from Cameron but only 2 Terminators? Why is he determined to fixate on this one so much?

He could have done a 'prequel' to The Terminator and showed the 2029 war with the machines that led to the discovery of the time displacement equipment. And he could have done it when Michael Biehn and Arnie were still reasonably....not old looking.

I liked Avatar but...3 ****ing more?

When Avatar was released I saw him in a live interview where the interviewer asked him if he'd ever revisit Terminator. Cameron basically said that he's bitter that other people have "pissed in" his story and that due to the existence of T3, TS and the TV show the whole franchise is tainted for him now and he'll never touch it again.
