The Office WAS really, really, really funny. Both versions.

As of 2011, it started to sucked.

I would say it started WAY earlier than that.

It reached an absolutely dreadful level after Michael left, but it had been bad before that.

For me, 3 was the last great season, 4 was still good, but went off after that, when the ridiculous episodes became way too frequent.

That is true, but after season 8, seasons 5-7 don't look as bad.

That is definitely true. That middle territory goes either way. Compared to 1-3, it looks bad. Compared to 8 & 9 it looks great.
