Personally, I like the idea of his mouth being almost expressionless and letting it all come from those crazy eyes of his, like this.

This can be achieved with the same sculpt like we're digging, just paint the eyes up more and tilt the head on your figure.

For sure that is the trademark expression of Hopkins as Lecter. Have anyone here seen the version with Brian Cox as Lecter, I mean, as Lecktor (the name was changed, who knows why..)?

As I have experience with painting both Nek's heads and painting Hannibal in the past, I would welcome all PMs from those aforementioned poor *******s.

I'd say for the versatility of that look, it's the way to go, then everyone should be happy, I think anything else starts venturing into more specifics and you're bound to find someone isn't happy. That look isn't specific to anything, it's just Lecter. Stick the mask on him and he'll look crazy, stand him up like when Starling first meets him and he'll look perfect, and the right painter will be able to get a variety of effects with that as a raw sculpt.
