The wings are TOTALLY classic, but the helmet makes MORE SENSE given the WWII time frame, but a winged head COH.... Well you know my opinion on that...lol.

Cap's wings are classic but just like the swashbuckler boots, I never really cared for them.

Like you said this helmet makes more sense for WWII, as does all his web-gear.

The only thing I dislike about this piece are the red boots. Looks like something he picked up at MACYS. That's me just nit picking though.:lol

Boots go with the gloves though.
This is Cap still very much a soldier, not yet the "hero" in his classic threads.
His boots are similar to Punishers with the buckles on top.

I know they go together.... I just don't like the look of them. Just personal taste I suppose. They look suede or something like that.

Maybe if they made the boots brown instead of red... but I don't mind them so much. Dusty red leather.
In the meantime l'll be waiting patiently for a classic Cap comiquette.

I really like it, I think it is just a more realistic view of cap with the helmet, boots, shovel, machine gun, etc...

The only thing now keeping me from liking it a lot, and preordering it when the opportunity is there, is the price. I am a poor fellow, but cant help enjoying these things. So i need to be very wise with my money. haha

I really like everything about this new cap, but I don't know if I should get it.
I've already got the original Pf and I have to really like a character for me to have 2 statues of them.

Well, there are a lot of factors that you could consider. Money, Space, Love for the character, the kind of collection you want to achieve. One character each or numerous? Most of those decisions should be totally up to you.
Me, I am one character only and am limiting my collection to pretty much my top 10. Just made a list and now I stick to it. Just need to find great representations of each character.

That's kind of mine too. I just started, none the less, I only want 2 until I move into a house with a nice office/movie room.

Depending on time of release and price I stand a good chance of getting this for under $150 using my rewards points. This was done so well and I'm overdue for a Cap figure so a definite buy for me.

I think I'm actually going to skip this. I had my shopping list all made up but because I was all excited about the Marvel reveals I didn't notice SS had a Pred2 MQ. One of the very few things I really want which isn't from Marvel or DC. I already have the Classic CA PF but no Preds at all.

My collection is made up of 1 of each of my favorite characters, but I can't help buying something that just looks too good to pass up(for example Queen of the dead). I don't think I have room to fit in doubles of characters. but this cap does look really nice, it is very tempting to order one

I think that's the attitude that keeps people in the game for the long haul. You can go crazy or crash and burn trying to be a completest or get everything you think looks cool. I have simple rules I try to abide by. I have to like the character, I try to limit each character to 1 per scale ( I collect pieces from BD and Koto as well as SSC), and I have to like the way a piece looks. The last one is the hardest. I passed on the original Cap PF. I want one desperately. If I had no patience and an itchy trigger finger, I would have bought this PF even though, deep down, I know it's not the Cap PF that I want. Spider-man fans are going through the same thing now. If they don't own the 1st Com or PF, do they buy the new Com? Are they settling because of money issues or are they really digging the piece because they think it looks good and will make for a fine representation of the character in their collection?

We all face these types of issues (and more) as collectors. Only each one of us can answer these types of questions as they relate to our collecting habits. The most important thing is to be focused and honest with ourselves. I think that's what still makes collecting fun for me.

Well put filip, This is as much a discipline as anything else. I have neither the money, nor the space to have everything. Don't buy something to fill a void if your doing one of each character. It will wreck you big time. Honestly these forums are often times a great resource for information, but much of the time I see these personal/ internal battles taking place partly because of the hype. I know because I have fallen victim to it. One need to make a choice based upon THEIR own personal situation not the entire forums situation.

I agree with everything you said. However, due to my own situation I'm getting this Cap. I refuse to pay the prices for the original and I dig this conglomeration of Ultimates/WWII Cap. Now, will I say this will be the Cap in my collection for the duration? I can't, because if they ever do a Modern Cap in 1/4 scale again and it fits my Ideal Cap, I may pick that up, however I'd also be selling this one at the same time. Swapping Caps as it were. But this does fill the Captain America void in my collection nicely. To each their own, and I hope you get the Cap you're looking for.

You should have told me you were holding a Collectors-Anon meeting!!

Glad I made it in the end, great advice guys. Eases the hysteria going on at the moment (in my head anyway lol)

I love this Cap and don't have one yet. So I hope I can afford to get him.

I think ... As MUCH as I like this one I will be skipping it... I told my little guy that's might be selling my Captain America TFA PF, and he got ALL glum. That movie is one of his favs, and in the last few weeks I have decided on the 1 of any 1 character rule. So it looks like I will be missing this one
