Hey guys, just a little update on my Cap...for those that read my review a good few pages back, I'd basically gave this PF high praise in that it really came out well when you consider how close it was to the actual prototype, I especially love the details in the weathering, the optional switch out hands but more impressive was the actual headsculpt, which was one of the better Sideshow portraits I've received in a while.

However, what was stopping me giving this piece a 10/10 and PF of the year (in my opinion) was that hideous decal for the Heater Shield Real lazy work there on Sideshows side and really felt let down by it cos it just didn't do anything for the PF once you assembled it...infact it made the whole thing look off and you could tell it was a stick on job! The Circle shield on the other hand was a major success so thank god they at least painted that one!

Anyway, I mentioned also in my review that I wasn't going to be satisfied by just keeping the Heater Shield in the box cos I'd like to have the use of both shields for my display and heck, I actually paid for a second shield so why should I just leave it in the box?! So I've had my Heater shield painted the way it should be and got rid of that awful decal design! Should receive it back from my artist in the next day or two but the difference is overwhelming and I couldn't be happier. I've been told that the shield looks even better inhand as the pic your about to see was taken in poor lighting but you certainly see how much better it looks. I just cant wait to get that shield onto the PF!!!

Of course, as soon as it arrives i'll take some better pics for you guys, but until then, here's a comparison pic to show you the results Just to point out, I also specifically asked my artist to bring the colours of the shield right to the edges unlike the decal which had that horrible white borderline around the edge...looks so much better now!

Even the original Cap PF had two painted shields...and that PF cost even less than this new one!!!

I really don't think it's shocking anymore. Sideshow had to know we wouldn't accept it. They just don't care. Anyone who says they're going to pose Cap with the decal shield just loves drinking the Sideshow koolaid. It looks absolutely atrocious. And even though your painted pic is ****** lighting, it looks awesome. I would love to have mine painted too eventually. Can't wait to see your painted shield on this awesome PF.

just received ours, unfortunately with a broken shovel handle. I agree btw, the decal shield is terrible. It's so gorram ugly, I don't even find the words for it...

is it normal that all the hands are extremely loose? They stick on but it's like they aren't fully inserted or something

Are you sure you're putting the hands on correctly? Mine fit in fine and the magnet is strong. It could be you have a weak magnet.

Finally after almost 3 weeks of silence got a response from SS telling me an order has been booked for me for a replacement head and EX hand. I hope they inspected it and bagged it correctly :/
