Oh good idea Luiggi! Cap holding his shield like this is certainly not as common and I think that's a great concept and idea to move forward with. As for gritted teeth or open. I would put my vote in open just because I can picture him yelling "charge or my flies open" with this pose
Andy: yeah man weathering is the way to go with the flag if it's possible. I don't think clean would look very good. And can the mast that the flag is on have a splintered bottom end so it's like he's just picked it up of the ground??

So I was looking to get my first Cap statue, how do you guys think this version fares compared to XM? I know there's a huge price difference but this seems like it still had good quality.

It's amazing quality. I bought this on impulse and is one of my favorite SS piece I own.
I personally think this is the best Cap statue ever made. Better than the first Sideshow Cap and better than XM's offering.

The XM is an amazing piece all around. Yes, it's spendy but the paint is probably the best I've ever seen. The XM is strictly a comic version as if he stepped out of the pages. This PF is an amazing piece in it's own way. The weathering turned out great and his pose just fits the piece perfectly. My only gripe with this piece is the old version of the shield. I feel SS nailed everything then got lazy and settled for the decal. While these upcoming custom pieces will add cost, they will elevate this to an even more stellar statue.
IMO this is the BEST Cap statue to date.
I agree with Marker that it's better than the original Sideshow Cap and recent XM Cap.
With the exception of the classic shield, the quality on this statue is exceptional and amazing!
