I completely forgot about this guy. I need a Cap in my collection but I just wasn't impressed with him when he came out, typical SS pose with a man twisting at his hips

now that he is close to selling out im actually reconsidering because I do need a Cap PF and I'm not sure when they will revisit the character. To me the original is the best representation but I just don't like paying secondary prices even if I can afford him....errr...what to do....hmmm

I made my final decision. I will wait for a larger framed captain america statue. I might change that decision when this comes out and see it in hand and compared to other 1/4 scale statues...

But in my mind, cap should be more muscular and larger than this...

planning to get on the waitlist for this. I have no doubt whatsoever that it will convert. My only concern will be that it converts too quickly.
Sitting on the fence it's easy to see both the pros and cons to it. I do see more positives than negatives, but my enthusiasm still isn't 100% because I know something else could show up in the next few months that will be an unequivocal "must have" and I would prefer not to throw away anymore $40 deposits in the meantime.

Plus I'm still nurturing the dream that I can find a place to put a Doom LSF.

In the same boat as you as far as I need a Cap but I'm wondering if they'll revisit Cap in the future with his traditional look again. At this point I doubt they even have plans for anything like that.

I'm getting this one anyway because the details look great and I don't care what anybody says, he's going next to my other classic Avengers, I'm using the round shield. If something comes out later I like better I'll sell this one, but I'll have it til then. All they really had to do was have a switch out Classic head, but oh well.

But that's how you make a SS statue...twist a man at his hips and throw one leg up. Lol!

They added an extra head to the Batman PF (unless that was always planned and I missed it) at release so we may get a pleasant surprise with this one as well considering the ES and the price point. An extra had would definitely aid the sell-through of the regular edition. Then again…

They added an extra head to the Batman PF (unless that was always planned and I missed it) at release so we may get a pleasant surprise with this one as well considering the ES and the price point. An extra had would definitely aid the sell-through of the regular edition. Then again…

Would be quite simple to customize this closer to a classic costume.
Basically just extending the gloves, repainting those and the boots a brighter red, and painting over the helmet and adding small wings.
I personally wouldn't mind keeping the strap, or lip of the helmet in the back. I'd probably even just leave the belt the way it is.



Less than 20 left...but yeah, that other 3000 is going to be around for quite a while
