Looking at pics, she doesn't strike me as Sharon Carter at all, if that is the female lead.

Of course the headline I'm *really* waiting to see is "Avengers Captain America Cowl Designer Fired."

I'm sure it will be changed for the sequel. They must've seen all the people saying he looked like a cockhead when Avengers came out.

Actually, it's Whedon who unfortunately had the cowl changed to the poop it is in The Avengers. The designer originally came up with the far superior one sported in your avatar and almost all of the film artwork that came out.

I know, I just had to make a dig at the cowl in some fashion. What makes Whedon's approval even stupider is that live interview where he said he was happy to have a say in the Mark VII because the triangle chest piece on the Mark VI "looked like ass."

Uh yeah, Joss your Cap cowl looked so much better than the Mark VI, which triangle or not is generally agreed to be a pretty badass suit.

Yeah, covering Cap's ears without adding a chin strap to throw off the dorkballness was a dumb, dumb design move on his part. I still cannot fathom why/how he thought that looked better. The Cap cowl in the early designs (and almost all of the marketing artwork) was immeasurably more badass.

Just goes to show that Whedon isn't infallible, either, and can in fact make some pretty dumb decisions from time to time.

I had no problem with Captain America's costume in The Avengers, I thought it was a good modern interpretation of the WWII costume.

But, if we all agreed, life would be boring I guess!

I like Cap's modern suite. But the original still look a little better.

However, HT version of the modern suite is EXCELLENT!

I heard some speculation that she might have been Sharon Carter, but I don't think so, I expect them to pick someone else for that role if they include her as a big part in the Winter Soldier, which I don't know why they wouldn't.
