Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I wasn't thrilled with Johanson's performance in Avengers. She seemed a little too girl scout for a ruthless spy.

The only thing I didn't like about her was how often she used the phrase "I've got red in my ledger." What, does she have a day job as an accountant? :lol

:lol thats the one thing that annoyed me about her too.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

How much do you guys want to bet that Cap 2 opens with news footage of the Chitauri attack featuring Captain America. The camera pulls back to reveal it playing on a television set. Pull back further as an eldery Peggy drops a cup of tea and it shatters on the floor. Calling it now! :lol

The only thing I didn't like about her was that she wore to many clothes. :monkey3

I think anyone would act that way if they had to deal with "the HULK!" :horror

I bet it opens with the scene of her and Cap that wasn't included on the BR/DVD.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I always felt that the ending really lacked that closure with Cap and Peggy. And not even addressing it in Avengers was even worse. So they better at least address it in this film. I kept thinking Cap 1 would end with him standing above her grave saying something about missing the date or yadda yadda. :dunno

I think most people would **** themselves if they saw a humongous green pissed off monster charging at them. :panic: :lol

To me that's what made it an even sadder ending for CA:TFA, no real closure for Cap.

That would have been a truly sad moment. Probably even worse than meeting her in her old age.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

The ending of The First Avenger was perfect. Him meeting an elderly Peggy or visiting her grave would have been out of place and it wasn't necessary since they finally connected and had their "moment" as his plane was crashing. The fact that they didn't get to dance/kiss/shake hands/leave flowers at a grave made it even more tragic and poignant, which artistically was a good thing. I do wish that scene had been left in The Avengers however and I really hope the Dupree directors get it right in the sequel and hopefully if BW appears she doesn't do an outtake to the audience every five seconds in the middle of a dialogue or action sequence to remind everyone that she's got red in her ledger.

But not as bad as finding out it's really Red Skull when he touches her face and it falls off in his hand... or aging 70 years all at once ala "Forever Young"... or... nevermind, just give her a magic science pill and get it on before hospice arrives!
