Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Actually there has been a Batman film ironically enough that didn't make the hero's romantic feelings in any way part of the plot: Batman & Robin. :lol

Except the heroes' stupid romantic feelings WAS a plot point in that film. Batman and Robin fought over Poison Ivy. :rotfl

From an interview with Stanley Tucci:

His answer to the question if he'll be back in a flashback in the sequel:
No, they haven’t [asked me], unfortunately. I’m really sad. I know that Hayley is going back to do a flashback scene, but I have not been asked.

Sweet! :yess:

Sometimes it's these little bits of info that bring me joy.

Just found out today that Trent Opaloch the cinematographer of District 9 and Elysium (my most anticipated movie of 2013) is also working on one of my most anticipated movies of 2014 aka Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Found this neat manip of Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter. Would be cool if her costume in the film was a white SHIELD outfit rather than the generic one that BW and Maria Hill wore.

As long as he sticks to acting and doesn't try to make a statement.

Bad *** Digest:

At one point your mom would have dropped you in a river for the chance to **** Robert Redford. She still might, because he looks weirdly good for an old dude who appears to have been smoked like jerky. And her lust for him might just be rekindled in cinemas soon, as Redford is in talks to join Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

You heard me right. Robert Redford is in talks to appear in a Marvel movie. The guy who founded Sundance, the guy whose last decades worth of films have been indie and pretty under the radar, is going to storm back into mainstream movies in a SUPERHERO FILM. You know, he would have made a pretty cool Captain America back in his heyday. Just saying.

According to Deadline Redford will be playing SHIELD upper management, which I'm assuming means he's part of the shadowy cabal seen in The Avengers. The site also indicates that Redford is signing one of those standard Marvel contracts, so expect him to pop up again in The Avengers 2 - which will now be the opening night film of Sundance 2015, maybe*.

This is weird, and it feels like a complete acceptance of the new Marvel Hegemony. But it also is cool, and I think Redford could be a lot of fun. It would be kind of neat if we discovered he's Jim Steranko's Nick Fury, gotten all old, and that Nick Fury is simply a code name. Like we used to think James Bond was!

* no, not really, I am joking. They will not be finished by then. I just wanted to make sure nobody got their Editor hat on in the comments and was like 'Uhm, actually the movie wouldn't be finished by January 2015.'
