Interesting art. Is that a falcon with freaking lasers on his wrists??

:rotfl :rotfl

Yeah HT should've added a laser effect to the figure or at least make his arm light up

If they could do it on a Buzz Lightyear figure, HT can most certainly do it on a Falcon figure.

Don't even know if it's in the movie yet. It's developmental art. Concept stuff.

Why do you say that?

Why assume it's in the movie? Outside of a fruit snack box art that was clearly altered from other art (it's a standard Cap suit that someone drew scales on to make the box look cool) and a retail tshirt there has been nothing to indicate scale mail is coming. I wouldn't write anything off or get overly concerned (or at all) about anything either in or not in some concept art, merch art, retail toy lines, trailers, prototypes ect.

I think a scaled suit would be just as cool as the next person, but I have to be pragmatic and say I wouldn't get your hopes up or count on it being in the film at this point. The above concept art photos look like they are essentially photos of him wearing the actual CW suit that has been proven to be in the film, but they just digitally added on scales.

When it comes to showing what's going to be in a film, I think the best source to go by is the actual trailers. In every trailer and TV spot released, there has been no scene nor inkling of him ever wearing the scaled suit in this film. If you recall TWS trailers, there were scenes that showed him wearing both the stealth suit and the GA suit, so there were no surprises as to what suit(s) he was going to be wearing. I would think there would be at least ONE scaled suit scene thrown into a CW trailer if he was wearing it, especially if the scene helped with the flow of the trailer.

But absolutely nothing.

But all of the scenes in the trailers seem kinda early in the movie, no?

I doubt it. They go from sitting down in the same room in the same team to at least three different fight locations...throw in crossbones and the bombing and the flashback and the prison and Bucky shooting cap and that's a lot of storyline and set for the first act of a film. At this point I think the only thing we have yet to catch a glimpse from is the end of the film. The resolution. We have the build up in crossbones, Bucky frame job and BP intro and the accords with Ross. Then the middle with the team split then cap/falcon/Bucky in the run, then the full out fights. Some of it will be rearranged and edited and more added.

And yes, it's possible they throw the scale suit in the final. But as of now there's really no evidence of it. Every time there's a photo or art it's just an overlay on the standard suit we have seen already and that is more marketing and artistic choice then evidence. If they do the scale suit it will a completly unique design, not the Aou/CW suit with some goofy puffy scale stuff on top of an existing design.

That doesn't mean I don't want it, or know if it's coming or if it's not or anything like that. It just means that as of now there is no evidence either way. But as Silverstar pointed out, the lack of actual evidence indicates it's a long shot. They don't usually hide costumes till the film drops. They control parts of it for a time but I can't think of a single main character where we didn't have some idea from trailers and whatnot. Outside of the Aou SW at the end maybe. But we saw vision and SW and QS and Mk45 and both winter soldier suits of caps in his, saw Thor and Loki every costume in all films..the mk43,6,4,7,42,44....mandarin...black panther and spiderman....

The final trailer releases this next week, should have a pretty good idea by then. But, I'd wait till the film before I got to upset or excited either way. There's an additional over 2 hours of footage so you never know. Lol

But you can't use leaked or even official art as a definitive for how it will look in a film. Just open one art of book and you'll see a dozen designs for every character that don't make the cut. And that's only a portion of what gets made before a final design is chosen. And that's just the in house design stuff. Toys and marketing and merchandise people do the same thing. I have these stickers and temp tattoo things my daughter bought me from avengers 1 and there's cap in his A1 costume but it has scales.

Until it's actually on screen I don't put much stock into it.

Yeah I guess you guys are right. I did read a rumor a long ass time ago that he gets it in the movie. All the rumors in the article came out to be true like Falcon's robot bird and War Machine's war hammer and had some leaked art in it. This was either before the big Marvel press conference or a little bit after, not sure. That's the only thing that's keeping me hopeful.

i like the idea of cap's chainmail as mch as the next person, but if we dont get it, i won't lose any sleep. keep in mind though, we havent even seen freakin zemo yet, & hes the MAIN villain. not a bad thing either, just shows u how much is in this movie, I cant wait for all this to be unleashed for over 2 hours on the big screen :D

so if u wanna be optimistic for the chainmail, id say there's still a chance perhaps, but if not, im sure there's a whole lot more that we can enjoy from this movie! :)

Exactly my point! I think they're keeping the things the general audience doesn't care about secret to give the comic fans some surprises. They couldn't not show Spider-Man, but even him they've only shown for a few seconds.

No? In fact there's at least one spoilery bit someone caught in a freeze frame bonus that likely happens very late in the movie.

I have a hard time imagining all that stuff, including the big airport fight, only happens in the first act of the movie.

Is scarlet witch confirmed to have a figure from Civil war? I want to get the Age of Ultron Version but I may wait on her if they are making a civil War figure

No. There's never any confirmation of any figure until it is actually put up for PO. It's rare but occasionally a figure that's teased never makes it to production. And they have not even teased a SW figure.

But there are two Aou figures teased. One is released already and the other was a prototype shown at toy soul.

I'm starting to think the Cap/IM fight is somewhere around the middle of the film. Marvel has done a really great job of teasing this film. Personally, I don't want to see one more second of Spider-man or Black Panther footage before the film comes out.

To promote Civil War, which hits theaters on May 6, “Team Captain America,” a.k.a. Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Paul Rudd will appear on Monday’s show, while Wednesday’s installment features “Team Iron Man”,” a.k.a. Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, Chadwick Boseman, and Paul Bettany.

Also a new set video (which includes Emily VanCamp) :love

Why is Agent 13 listed as Team Iron Man? Either it's a typo, or she's clearly the double agent. If it was a part of the plot I doubt they would have her face plastered all over Team Cap merchandise and promo material
