I'm a studios wet dream, I consume everything. :lol

Didn't like Deadpool jye, no worries i'll see it twice just to make sure.

BvS 39% RT, no problem i'll be there preview night, have to make my own decision, right!

Watched Transformers 4 in the afternoon w/o the family but now family wants to see it, no problem i'll go again in the same day!

CW 99% RT, jye will now see it 8 x ! :yess:

it's Batman and Superman. To the average person, those characters are a far bigger deal than anyone in Civil War.

Have any of the Amazing SpiderMan films been huge hits though? I think the second one didn't do well right?

The Webb/Garfield films made money, but they were creative duds with none of the panache that Raimi's first two Spidey films displayed.

The Webhead is an icon on par with Supes or Bats. He won't be center stage in CW obviously, but gimme a break:

Until the Spidey reveal, I thought Batman V. Supes would win in the financial department, even if the movie was worse critically (and I assumed it would be). But now. . .eveything that made Marvel Universe movies succeed before, PLUS ****ing Spider-Man??

Yeah, what kara said . . . to the Nth power. :clap

I think Parker's suit is lookin' great.
Total Jazzy John Romita Sr. web patterns with the Sturdy Steve Ditko red&blue design. :rock2
Dig the apparent tech in his lenses & webshooters.
Don't expect he'll have much screen time . . . but hope I'm wrong!

Think BvS will edge it purely because it's Batman and Superman. To the average person, those characters are a far bigger deal than anyone in Civil War. Together onscreen for the first time, as well. Will be surprised if CW makes more.

Maybe 10 years ago I'd agree with this, Superman and Batman have a longer standing popularity and are more well known in the public eye, but after 2 phases of MCU films, I'm pretty sure the general public is probably more intrigued by Marvel than Batman or Superman, maybe a curiousity to see how Affleck does, but this is more like Batman Begins again, people don't know what to expect, where MCU has cemented itself, you know what you're in for from the previous films.

Personally, I'm actually more excited for Civil War than BvS, even with BvS right around the corner. I just think that people are probably more interested in seeing the new film about the biggest characters. People probably think 'Captain America, Iron Man? Haven't they had like fifteen films already?!' whereas BvS is almost completely new.

I really, really, REALLY hope that this doesn't degenerate into a BvS vs Civil War, or DC vs Marvel thread. That is so goddamned boring. And lame. And everything has already been regurgitated a zillion times anyway.

You a fan of New Orleans-style jazz-funk? The Meters are one of my favorite bands.

Would love to see Spidey interact with Hulk at some point. The Ultimate Spider-Man episodes with Hulk are so great. And. . .do I dare dream of this?

 It's the only way to stop Thanos, obviously.

Aren't all carbon-based lifeforms? I thought being a fan of N'Orleans music was like a Voight-Kampf test . . . :wink1:

George Porter makes me grin from ear to ear. :rock2

Ugh . . . personally I say NO Symbiotes, NO 90s gimmick characters.
The decade of comics in the 1990s should be shot into the sun . . . it's dead to me now. :wink1:

Hopefully this movie won't be an overstuffed, kitchen-sink mess (Zack Snyder--white courtesy phone).
The Russo Bros. showed amazing facility in WS to juggle all the character beats in an extended cast.
CW looks like a bigger cast than either Avengers flick . . . plus it has the task of being a concluding third chapter.

As for the "why isn't the entire Marvel universe in this cast" meme: If you need that kind of fix, then go watch the cartoons!
That many characters in a single live action film would be an incoherent mess, and that seems to be the specialty of the brothers Warner, not Russo.

Hey, I hate the '90s as much as the next guy, but it had its moments. Spider-Hulk is a concept that belongs in the damn Golden Age! Marvel's answer to Composite Superman. Do it, Marvel!

How can anyone hate the 90s it had some of the best cartoons on tv and some great movies and music. Things were so laid back! And yes the symbiotes were a great part of comics back then and gave birth to spiders greatest foe, venom! Plus they had a bunch of other very cool things in it

PLUS, how can we forget, CW has Spider-Man! Character with massive global appeal. Granted he's in a small role but still, that's gotta count for something.

It's a huge deal. Bigger than batman and superman in my opinion, nobody but fans know he's in the movie, what do you think will happen once the ga finds out? Sure you got Wonder Woman in batman v superman but let's be honest, it just doesn't have that bang that spidey showing up in the mcu has.
