So do I, but I wonder how much paid critics will hype this film.

Spider-Man is the highlight of this film, according to them. I mean, what did you expect from tweets? They have a limit of 120 characters. It's not like they're gonna spoil Zemo's involvement.

Personally, I don't put much stock in early reactions (we saw how well that turned out with BvS), so I don't really "count" these. Either way, I am hella excited, but I don't really consider these tweets as valid reviews. I mean, come on, you just got to see the movie a month in advance, of course you're gonna be hyped. I'll just wait for May 5th to see it for myself.

Yea, I don't trust reactions, but the consensus for CW is that it's good but not as good at Winter Soldier. What's shocking is even the positive tweets are recognizing that the movie has some plot issues, normally you don't see that often in early Marvel reactive tweets.

Also one guy saids Zemo is another wasted villain.

...Are we still going with the paid critics thing? BvS had overwhelmingly positive reactions, along the lines of "BEST CBM EVER". These seem modest and genuine compared to those, and we saw how well that turned out....

Well, then that makes them seem genuine IMO. I never trust those "BEST 4EVAR" tweets, mainly because they reek of "hype". Acknowledging that a movie has some plot issues but it's still good is a good sign in my book. I mean, what movie doesn't have some issues, especially CBMs? Admitting them is a significant plus. Still, they are saying that it succeeds where BvS failed plotwise, which is another good thing in my book.

********* Marvel...

NO!.

Don't you dare MARVEL!

^ This. Zemo's one of my faves. If they screw him up, I'll be very dissapointed. But still, I'm reserving judgement. Maybe he's being set-up as a future big bad, who knows?

Ah I just read something, without spoiling anything, seems all is well with Zemo, but I didn't dare to read too much because of spoilers.

I did **** up and managed to read a spoiler that made me :lol not because it was bad nor funny though.

I agree, the thing is, these reactions never really align with the fan consensus when the film comes out. To be honest, these reactions are comparable to the AOU reactions, where a bunch of comments kind of skimmed over plot issues and focused on how "fun and epic" the movie was. Those small critiques actually tend to be a bigger deal when it comes to RT time :lol

When it comes to these early reactions usually:

Legendary = great

Great = Good

Good = meh

Meh = crap

Then there's movies like BvS and Green Lantern that receive a ton of a praise just to get panned on release.

I'm a weak willed person, so....link to the spoiler goodness? It'll get spoiled for me by the time it hits theatres here, so what's the point?

True. I remember them saying AoU was fun, but nothing mind-blowing, which is more or less what I thought. Honestly, I appreciate these little criticisms because they give you the impression of an honest "review", and not one that reeks of fanboyism.

I'm hearing great things about the plot, not from retarded twitter reactions but from a detailed descriptions of parts of the plot.

Well, that's good to hear... You got any of them links?

:lol okay Pturtle and darthkostis here's the thread I'm reading, there's one guy making this sound like the absolute best ever it's making it sound too good to be true, but if true... Oh boy....

He links his posts in other replies.

Well, if all of that is true, then this is going to be an absolute beast. It is exactly what I'd want out of it. Too good to be true? Probably. But hot damn, does this sound exceptional.

It seems Zemo is probably the best MCU villain yet.

I certainly hope so. Loki was fun and all, but I never got why people said that he was "da best evar". Especially when compared to Fassbender's Magneto or even Shannon's Zod. I may not have loved MoS, but his Zod was great. Still, from what I'm reading, it seems Bruhl is going to "act circles around Hiddleston's Loki", and I'm damn pleased to hear it. Zemo is a terrific character and he deserves some respect.

:exactly::exactly:
Sounds good so far! :D I might stay out of this thread and go into it without knowing anything more.
That sounds like a good idea. I might follow that lead.

Here's a rather vague but good impression of the movie:

https://www.periscope.tv/wicked_phoenix/1gqxvWambjWKB

Black Panther has a solid 3rd leading role.
Ant-Man & Spider-Man steal the show in the action sequences.
There is a presence of a Netflix Marvel character. There is more than 1 cameo.
"It's definitely a Cpt. America movie."
Only 1 credits was shown to avoid more spoilers.
Each character had its own score (in terms of soundtrack that is) implemented in the overall themes.

Although most of the comments can be dismissed as hype, a few say it is all over the place, not cohesive and one guy said it was not as good as CW.
Methinks this is gonna disappoint a few of you
