This was truly fantastic. Emotionally, it delivered. I think I'm one of the few who really liked BvS, but this movie showed how character driven plot mixed with great action can deliver an emotional punch like no other superhero movie has done...course, that's just my opinion. Great dialogue, great fx, solid acting. Can't wait to see it again!

Absolutely. They could make a TV show out of WWII Cap's adventures.
The only thing I still don't like about TFA is the lack screen time for villains. It needed more Red Skull and Zola.

He's adorable. :lol

Yes, The Force Awakens needed ****-tons more of Zola!! Haha [emoji6]

The kinetics on display in this movie is worthy of an oscar for best action.

I enjoyed the action in BvS but that was childs play when compared to this.

The CW airport sequence is one if not the best comicbook action sequence ever made...so far.

Meanwhile

BVS airport sequence involves storing luggage and advertising Turkish airlines :monkey3

I thought the movie was good, but I don't get how this movie has completely overlooked the destruction Hulk caused in Wakanda. That should've the reason for the accords kicking off instead of Wanda being screwed no matter what with the explosion. Either let it blow up on the ground and people die, or bring into the air and people die? Okay. Other than that, the action and story were good for me. Dat Spider-Man and Black Panther.

The DC fanboys hitting this thread won't enjoy the last comment. Their panties will get in a bunch...stirring up trouble Jye

You're damn right because that last comment was wrong :lol

Yes it had more action, most of it was pretty good. But it's no BvS or MoS when it comes to action.

When it comes to heavy hitters.

Smallville fight, Zod vs Hopeman, Derpsday vs Trinity > Any heavy hitter action from the MCU. Which there's none in this movie, well, maybe that little snippet with Wanda vs Vision, but it was way too small a bit.

Street level action.

Batman vs thugs > Any street level action in the MCU, this movie included, Bucky vs Cap included.

Batmobile chase > WS chase.

At this point you can say "well those movies suck and I don't care for the characters so it makes me not care for the action", fair enough, but everything in the "DCEU" (as little we have compared to the MCU) is just better choreographed and better shot, there's more "kinetics" Jye talks about, and more weight in those, than in anything in the MCU.

The wire work in the MCU is noticeably bad, even in this movie, that BP spinning kick to Cap was particularly bad, honestly it made me chuckle, I don't know if it was CGI or CGI-enhanced wire-work, but there are a couple of bits like that in all the fights throughout the movie.

And I know CGI sucks nowadays in all movies, but Hopeman flying around still looks miles better than Vision flying around, and I love Vision.

I will give you this:

The airport scene is MASSIVE, 15 WHOLE minutes of pure action, with a dozen characters.

That is nothing short of impressive, in terms of cogs in motion and actually making it work at that scale, it is superior to any DCEU action set piece.

There's really nothing to compare it to in the DCEU though.

I think Hulk's destruction in Wakanda was contained in AOU but it was the start no doubt.

Superman saved the Earth but Metropolis paid the price for it.

Avengers saved the Earth but Manhattan and Sokovia paid the price for it.

Would humans really turn against their saviors in that manner?

I caught the late showing last night to a packed house and I came out loving it for the most part. But with the way the critics were hyping it up, I can't help but feel a little letdown.

I loved the character building moments especially with Tony, WS and BP. It's amazing at how much Tony's character has changed and evolved since IM while Cap has stayed true to himself and is unshakable in his ideals. Spidey was freaking awesome and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I loved Antman's moments on screen. Zemo was believable and definitely not a one note character. The action scenes were a joy to watch especially the airport sequences. It was like a true to life fight ripped out of a comic in terms of tone. BP, Spidey, and Antman were absolutely the standouts in the movie for me. I also thought the comedic elements were tastefully done and timely. I still chuckle at the Volkswagen scene. :lol

However I did feel there were some parts in the movie that just chugged along for me. Overall it didn't have that frenetic pace and tension that I loved in TWS. Also, as much as I loved Spidey, I can't help but feel that BP got a bit shafted as a result in terms of screen time. And while I didn't have any problems wrt Cap and Tony's motivations, I did have some questions as to why some of the other Avengers entered the fray when they did.

Overall a solid 8.5-9/10. Just behind Avengers, TWS, and GOTG for me. It's a great movie that made you care about all the characters. A solid end to an amazing trilogy!

I'll give you that one spinning kick from BP, it stuck out.

But MOS/BvS doesn't come close to TWS/CW in the action department.

The best MOS/BvS has to offer is the Faora fight and Batman warehouse fight and while both were decent they still fall way short of the scope, intensity and thrill of the TWS/CW fights.

It's not comparable imo.

All of MoS is heavy hitter action which is miles better than any heavy hitter action in the MCU. Heavy Hitter action in the MCU is weak, very weak.

Most of BvS is heavy hitter action, same as above, and one scene with Batman that loosely edges out TWS/CW in comparable set pieces imo.

There's no mid-tier character mob fights in the DCEU yet to compare it with the airport scene.

The action in MOS is famously known for 2 things:

1. Put people to sleep.
2. Made people numb to it all.

The action in TWS is famously known for 2 things:

1. Raised the bar in hand to hand combat action scenes.
2. Elevated Cap and Bucky into bad ass status.

BvS has 3 action scenes that stand out.

1. BvS
2. Warehouse
3. Trinity v Marshmellow Man

CW has 3 action scenes that stand out in just its first 15 minutes! :lol

=D

Did you see Bucky drop into the tunnel and not even bend the knees while turning clumsily before he started sprinting, in a very super-soldier like fashion? That's the bad wire-work that is often seen in the MCU, did you see Cap jump in front of the truck and not be launched forward when they hit the brakes? Etc etc.

It's moments like these that kill all sense of kinetics Jye talks about.

I didn't read your post so I'm just gonna appeal to popularity. Also, I forgot most of BvS

C'mon Jye, you're better than this :lol

So are we supposed to not care about Superheroes killing people anymore in films, because just like BvS, They seem to love blowing people up in this movie. Oh well, sign of the times I guess. Ain't nobody got time for jail...

:lol:lol

I didn't think the BVS fight was that good at all...and that fight was pretty much street level since Sups wasn't at 100% power. No "heavy hinting" action....unless people consider a kitchen sink "heavy hitting"? :lol
