X-Men are best left at Fox, Spider-Man could be great at any studio, unfortunately Avi and the rest of the suits are just trying to cash in. I feel bad for Garfield though, if Spidey was in better hands he could have been a perfect Parker/Spidey.

The main problem I had with Peter was that he was no different outside of the costume as he was when he has it on. His character just isn't Peter Parker. The scene I thought that was the most Peter Parker was actually my 2nd favorite scene when he was asking Aunt May for information about his parents. 1st favorite scene is Spidey protecting the kid from bullies. I personally think Marc Webb was the wrong guy for the job.

We could have had a Russo Bros Spider-Man.....

They would have made damn sure that he was Honest Trailer-proof.

Freaking idiots at Sony. Freaking idiots.

I worked on ASM2 and I have to say, Marc Webb is kind of an a-hole.... even Jamie Foxx had a big fight with him on set in front of everyone a few nights.

I thought Garfield did a good job as Peter Parker. :huh

Yeah, I don't care for Garfield as Parker. As Spidey though? He's perfect. I like Tobey a lot more as Parker. He channels the classic Peter Parker I'm familiar with, though I don't know much about nu-Ultimates Parker which is probably what Garfield is basing his character on.

Ultimate Peter is edgier and a little more human compared to 616 Peter Parker.

It's been a while since I read any of the Ultimate comics but I remember him being relatively similar to Garfield's Peter, he seemed to get angry fast and wasn't as likeable as 616 Peter. The first few issues he was kind of a loner but he's started to fit in with most of the high school students pretty fast from what I remember reading.

Just reboot Spider-Man again. No problem. Third time (third actor) is a charm.

Make the new Spider-Man African-American and gay and you got a guaranteed winner.

How is he more "human?" Since the early '60s, the "616" Parker was one of the most fleshed out, genuine, and relatable characters in all of comics. Which was probably the initial reason for his incredible popularity more than anything else.

Most teenagers are really as nice as 616 Peter Parker?

I always found his real life problems to be relatable, but never his personality, he's portrayed as almost a saint, high school kids aren't really known to be saints.

Ultimate universe Peter is still a good kid, but he reacts how I would expect most teenagers too when he's being bullied, or treated as certain way.
