I wouldn't want a gay Steve Rogers (I want his romance with Sharon to expand, because it's faithful to the comics) but I DO want more diversity in the Marvel films.

I'm super excited for Thessa Thompson as Valkyrie. I am HOPING Zendaya is Mary Jane Watson (and MJ is my favorite character and it doesn't bug me one bit)

I was bummed that they didn't choose to go the Ultimates route for Wasp and hire an Asian actress, but I am looking forward to seeing Mantis. Hopefully she's not painted a different color.

I welcome more race bending for characters that were created so long ago, when diversity wasn't as widely accepted for whatever reasons.

I do think it's time for some LGBT representation in mainstream action/super hero films too. I would be happy if they decided to make Poe, Finn or Rey gay or lesbian for the new Star Wars films. Or even Elsa for Frozen.

It's our differences that make us unique and can tell different stories so I'm all for it.

There was a missed opportunity in CW to honor Pietro's sacrifice in AOU.

When the lady was trashing Stark over her son he should've shot back that Pietro lost his life saving a child.

Not for nothing if I was Stark not only would've I mentioned Pietro but I also would've explained to her that when they're saving the world they're doing their best to avoid casualties as Stark did during his Hulk fight.

I thought one of the most powerful lines in the movie was when Stark brought up the kids death happening while they were "kicking ass".

Funny how Avengers ends with citizens thanking them and CW is the opposite.

I honestly think it's a losing argument to complain about the Avengers, they stopped a nuclear explosion, invading aliens, hydra government corruption and Ultron and a falling city...

Wait...ok fine, had Stark not messed around and created Ultron Sokovia would still be standing.

Hmmm, ok she has a point! :lol

You see how good this movie is, it allows both sides to have strong arguments supporting their cause.

But you know what, Blame Odin, he's the one who banished Thor to Earth causing Loki to come looking for the damn tesseract! :lol

Where is my Red Skull, I want him back dammit! :gah:

Absolutely. In fact it was something I pondered after seeing the film. On the one hand you can understand how helpless citizens might feel if a group of massively powerful humans just got to fly around doing whatever they wanted and fighting whomever they wanted. Deputizing the heroes under elected officials would give the populace some semblance of "control" over their actions, or at the very least the illusion of it.

But by the same token if you have another HYDRA situation, which would be even easier to do with already corrupt governments across the globe, then those heroes could be pawns of evil or self centered individuals or activists.

I think exactly what we saw in the movie would probably be the "best" way to do it, that is have one half of the team totally owned by the UN with the other half "rogue" so that they could operate quicker (no red tape) and could act as a sort of superhero internal affairs group for the first group. The rogue team could still be friendly with the UN group, maybe even publicly pretend to be "legit." Kind of how Tony told Cap "sign here and we'll make all your actions official." Well they could make Cap's actions official WITHOUT him signing. Whenever Cap does something public just maintain the facade that his actions were "for the best, government sanctioned, you folks don't have all the details, trust us, etc."

Then citizens feel like they have some control (because they will) but the heroes would then be able to do what they do like our current cops or soldiers. Cap's group could be rogue but still receiving intel from the inside just like he did with Sharon in the movie. And if Ross said "forget that, you all sign or none of you do," then ALL the Avengers tell him to eff off because as Black Widow said at the end of TWS, like it or not the world needs them and they'll need to play nice if they want their protection.

Never know, Quicksilver might come back in Infinity War

And blame Scarlet Witch too. She made Stark crazy paranoid and empowered Ultron.

Sky fall already mentioned he was Bi.

I don't think that's what that was. Silva was trying to make Bond slip and get out of his comfort zone. I don't even think Silva was bi...just head games. It was a chess match.

I like it that Peggy still influenced him after her death, her resolve during a period of time when women were only for kitchen, laundry and sex only served to solidify his own resolve.

Yeah, you can see that moment was pivotal for Cap.

It's subtle, but give Evans credit as an actor, he has the look of someone on the verge of giving into peer pressure and being reminded of what he believes in and her speech snaps him right back.

And he had to bring his A-game because RDJ came in tip-top form.
