Fox not using this X Men theme was their first mistake. The only memorable MCU theme is the one from the Avengers.



I do love Magneto's theme from First Class though. Especially around 3:25

Why are you so worked up about this? You even just quoted yourself saying "the MCU isn't the only one though, I feel the new X men movies have lame themes." Lumping in the MCU with the "lame themes" of X-Men. Obviously you can't see how that would be taken as a disparaging comment which I find strange but honestly who cares. I simply asked if your motive in posting the video was because you wanted an excuse to praise SS's score over those from Marvel. You're saying no. Okay, done. Not sure why this is even a thing.

why would you assume that? do you think one can like certain aspects of one film and dislike aspects of another without "choosing sides"? sure, i'm more of a DC fan but the MCU holds a special part in my heart like anyone else in this section.

you gave SS a great review, and i'm pretty sure you seemed to like the music. but if you actually read my posts, i was not comparing the two at all. (CW and SS)

i guess i'm just one of the few here who can like both sides without changing my opinion from thread to thread.

Of course. But that's the exception, not the rule, especially here. If a diehard WB/DC/Hansen fan posts some dumb video that weakly criticizes Marvel I'm going to wonder about their motives. But I still asked you point blank so you could set the record straight but instead of saying "Nah man, I actually wasn't thinking of SS at all when I posted that" you went and grabbed a fireplace poker and got nuts.

again, i agree his hum test wasn't the best idea, it obviously was an introduction to the topic of the rest of his video. and was only 2 minutes of a 13 long minute video.

if you watched the rest he brings up good points and evidence that the MCU's scores are not used in a way film scores are supposed to be used. it's either blatantly stolen from a different score or flooded out by other sounds. is this an MCU thing only? no i never said that, for all i know this could be a big trend now days (as he said in the video your criticizing but didn't watch). and i've never noticed it. but Whedon saying "you're not supposed to notice the music" proves my point.

my original post i shared the video because you and jye have been on scores lately and wanted your two cents, and came acrossed it on youtube.

does CW's score bring up its score higher in my book? no. lower? no. my opinion on the the film doesn't change after watching the video. i really like CW, it's up there with the first avengers and iron man 1 for me.

but to assume one wants to diss on your favorite movie for the sole purpose of getting a rise is about as immature and toxic as actually doing that. it's not my fault for making you put on your shiney armor to defend a movie i wasn't even attacking. stop looking at peoples sigs for clues about their tastes. it's like reading a book by just looking at the cover. i've been in and out of the marvel and dc threads since i've been here, sharing my praise for both sides.

GoTG and SS have soundtracks, that's not a score. CW and MoS have scores. so to assume i was comparing the two (CW and SS) is pretty dumb when it's two complete different mediums.

Finally got around to watching over the weekend. It's still one of if not the best superhero films for my taste. Definitely top three.....

I agree that MOS score is > CW but TWS = MOS, maybe even > MOS.

BvS built off the MOS score nicely but didn't go far enough.

WW score kicks butt.
