Make it black and its a throw back to Mar-Vell

Yeah I see what you mean, the fact the sides are exposed too doesn't help

Nah, nothing Batman-ish about it. It supposed to look like Kree helmet.
They should've kept it in the same colour of the basic suit. Red made no sense design wise.

I hope it is, she's got one of the easiest modern comicbook costumes to adapt to film.

Helmet's read doe, I don't know why it's blue there.

Nope.

1. Blends with the upper chest/shoulders part too much
2. Makes it too agressive looking, villainous even
3. Ruins the whole concept of the millitary-like outfit

They just did the colouring wrong for the basic concept.
