I just saw a new TV spot for Cap and was surprised to see part of the exchange between
Steve and Nick Fury
spoiled by it.

Anything to get asses in the seats. I remember seeing commercials for Incredible Hulk with RDJ in them.

What happened to all the high-falootin' WWII historians and Laser HatersTM that declared Cap "teh fail" for the last six months? :lol

VIBRANIUM FTW!

I don't go in the new Spidey movie thread, but I'm sure their complaints have shifted to "everything" that's wrong with that movie by now:lol

I saw the film last night and enjoyed it... But there was this tired tension in the cinema, which brought down the experience. It could be the fact I'm not America and some of that Classic American enthusiam was lost on me. Also a TV spot ruined
Bucky's death for me
scene as I new how it ended...

But the film was on par with Thor for me...

My Rating is still
4th-Iron-Man 1
3rd-Iron-Man 2
2nd- Tied Thor & Captain America, But I think Captain America was a bit better.
And The Incredible Hulk as by favourite Marvel film so far in this setup....

Which I'm surprised at how much I like it... I think its because it was the only one of these films that I hadn't heard/seen any spoilers about and the film really surprised me and I enjoyed it a lot... I loved the nods to the TV show and I loved the fight scenes... The end fight was Surprisingly brutal, a little on the Uncanny Valley side of things, but it was exactly how I imagined a Hulk fight to go down! Its an underrated film in my opinion!

I still think it's funny that a bunch of scenes from the trailer aren't even in the movie.

The transformation scene where you see his height increase isn't in the film nor is the part where Bucky tell him "You're going to get so many girls." I'm hoping that means we'll get a director's cut.

so everybody agree that this movie is fu**ing awesome :rock

FOOK Yeah! :rock :rock :rock

I agree, Josh.... Looking forward to seeing Cap a second time though. Maybe he can pass the Thunder God after a second viewing. :lol

Yeah, a second viewing could do it. Gonna go again this weekend.

Me too. But I've always said I'm very easy to please.

Could be worse. :lol

I hate to say I told them so but I did. As I told you privately this is how they have Hyrda set up in the comics and they explain in in the art book. Which you see in the movie so it all makes sense believe me I had a smile on my face when this all came together.

i finally went and saw this after a week of it being out. gotta say... loved it! after seeing Thor (don't get me wrong it was good, just not what i expected) I went in with subdued hopes. It did not disappoint on any level for me. I am fresh off reading brubakers cap run and there were very nice nods in the film towards that story arc (dealing with bucky that is). Weaving was excellent as the skull although a few times if you closed your eyes it sounded like arnie up there. Evans was a good fit for Cap considering i wasn't sure about how i felt about the human torch now being captain america. Much like my skepticism of robert downey jr being a super hero (ate my words on that one) I am willing now to pretty much give marvel some slack in the future. right up there with the 1st iron man for me. go see it if you haven't all ready and don't forget to buy war bonds!

As much s___ as some of them talked, especially two nimrods in particular, I have no problem telling them I told them so. :lol :nana: :lol

I liked it. It wasn't great, but it was okay.
If I were cutting this, I wouldn't have put the frozen Cap stuff at the beginning and I would have saved Bucky's death for the end. It all just seemed very anti-clamatic as is.
Super pumped about Avengers though!
